So I saw an article that someone just hit a 5,000,000 winner in Bensalem Bucks County (articles on all the local news websites). Bad odds on these $50 tix aside, if I happen to be in that vicinity, I would think I should avoid that ticket because they probably spread them around the state. Has there been any research on that?

By definition ~ The probability that an event will occur is the fraction of times you expect to see that event in many trials. Probabilities always range between 0 and 1. The odds are defined as the probability that the event will occur divided by the probability that the event will not occur.

It began January 3rd, and you choose numbers from 1-15 and there are 5 draws daily with costs of $1, $2, and $5. The odds aren't all that great unless you have a hunch on a number and just try your luck by playing it multiple times at $5 and see what the payout gives you. The payout is random, so the machine picks your winnings. I hope this helps.

By playing all the number on nine 9 lines you eliminated almost 14 million combinations that won't match one number. You're guaranteed to match one number on six lines so in effect reduced the odds to just under 2 million to 1. However the real trick is finding the correct order to enter all 54 numbers where one line will match all 6 numbers.

You need to have a program or spreadsheet to tell you the probability of repeated number from previous draw. You need to use from day 1 when the new format was introduced. If repeats occur often enough, you should not skip them. As far grouping (decade) is concerned, not only look at which decade the numbers fall in the most, but also the decade pattern they occur in. e.g. 11202, 10203 etc. This is way more useful than you think. The odds are sooo high in the 49 lotto. Why not consider a 5 number draw instead? I t may not pay as much, but what if you can win a couple of times. I am referring to fantasy 5 for example.

Florida's Cash Pop has a 1,2,5 dollar wager. Overall odds are 1:15 so a 7% chance of winning a prize. Florida's minimum prize starts at 5x the bet. I will buy a ticket or two this Sunday to see how I do.
