For me a two dollar ticket is too much for a 100K jackpot. The odds are 1:705,000. I don't call it Nothing or Nothing for nothing. LOL

Texas Lottery sales surge amidst the COVID-19 pandemic
I'm sure the surge in sales had a lot to do with the federal relief payments. I recieved mine the Wednesday of the first full week the stimulus went out. My banks drive thru line was really long (all lanes), even the ATM line. For some the relief payment was an extra check. Scratch offs are the best bang for your buck odds to jackpot wise.

Probability
Every Pick 3 straight combination has exactly the same odds of winning: 1 in 1,000. Triples are not harder or easier to win that any other straight Pick 3 combination.

Florida: 4/1 - 4/30/2020
Quads are long shot plays. Look on the front page of this site on the left side for lottery charts and look up the odds.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Doudy11 that sure sounds like a rotten run of blanks...sure blows out of the water anything I've run in to so far on that game. I will say that my worst zilch run so far has been on the current $10 Blowout...once ran into 22 blanks in a row on that one. I know because of the prize structure on that the odds on that game are just under 1/9 but that still hurt!!

Given the changes: Do you see either jackpot breaking the $200million ceiling?
There are enough 'creature of habit' players who don't care how bad the odds are or how low the jackpot is. You can count on them to build up the jackpot week after week.

Mega Millions to adjust starting jackpot amount, eliminate minimum increases
l respectfully disagree Stat- common sense tells us that the lottery does NOT lower their price for a ticket. They will juggle with the odds, but not the price. The other thing to consider is, how often is the jp won? They not stupid to think that people will not show up to the party, there may be less people buying tickets, but buy they will. But hey, l hear you.

Mega Millions to adjust starting jackpot amount, eliminate minimum increases
What are the odds they will combine mega millions and Powerball. I can't see either game surviving with such low jackpots and high ticket prices

Mega Millions to adjust starting jackpot amount, eliminate minimum increases
In the interest of fairness and transparency, shouldn't Mega Millions and Powerball tell us how much sales have dropped over the last few weeks so that we can know that these changes are realistic. They are always ready to crow during big jackpots about weekly, daily and even hourly sales. Now we hear nothing. On another note, they should also drop the price now that they are lowering the jackpots while the odds of winning the same.
