I enjoy using the vending machines. I don't feel they are more or less lucky than a clerk. The odds are still the same. However the machines aren't that reliable. They seem to malfunction rather easily.

The eternal crybaby generation (Those born between 1945 and 1985) are not known for being prudent or rational. Of course he can be an exception, but odds are good he'll have $5 left in 5 years.

I figured with the 1 in 12 odds at $50 that the minimum payback would be $250 (60 tickets/12). That's pretty crazy if the min payback can be $150 (or possibly less).

Raven and Todd, you both see what I am saying but in different ways. For me a game of odds would mean that the more money I put into a machine, or the more times played, the more likely a win possible, the odds get better with each play, in contradiction with a RNG game of chance where like one of you said your chance of winning is the same every time you press play with no relation to how many times before. Maybe it is me who is confused, but i think these are too completely different things. I

Not that bad, since the minimum prize is $50. Did you, or anyone else calculate the odds at hitting $100 and $500? I'm thinking this could still be a decent game to play...
