$301 MILLION: Huge Powerball jackpot on tap for this week
The current odds for the 2nd place PB million prize is 1 in 5 million so the new upcoming changes will effectively double those odds. Many folks will be looking at their own states lottery games with more reasonable (if I can call it that) odds.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yeah. The prize odds for the $100, $150, $200, $400 and $500 are bad. They added so many middle tier prizes that they had to dilute the odds. I do agree that the odds on the $1000+ prizes are respectible. I'll but a few tickets and see how it goes. At least there is no second chance gimmick to waste our time.

Would you support Powerball ticket cost to increase to $3 dollars?
3$ per ticket = no. higher odds of winning = still not playing for 3$ a pop.

New national lottery with a twist
Actually, no it doesn't. Because the same problem will exists. With this system, the only time everyone has an equal chance to win is at the national level. It matters a very great deal how many people are in each state, because if you make the odds small enough so that a person in a low population state is able to produce a winner, then the people in high population states will probably have multiple winners. While on paper the odds of winning on a state level will be the same across the board,

3 if 6 (in theory what if...)
There are the odds of having the winning numbers among the various field sizes and then there are the odds of having the winning numbers on a line depending on the wheel.
For example a 6/49 game is 13.9 million combinations so your odds of one combination being correct is one in 13.9 million. However if you could play 12 numbers the odds of having the 6 among your 12 drop to 1 in 15,134 but the odds of having all 6 winning numbers on a line are 1 in 924 (think full wheel (12,6,6,6)=924) li
