The raffle games you're playing on must be a lot easier than the ones I'm familiar with. Investing $10 a week for 45 years will result in $1 million with a rate of 12.36%. That's not as easy to get as it used to be, but it certainly isn't unreasonable based on past history. Unless you make really bad choices you could expect to at least earn enough to turn your investment into 200 to 300k. If I were he, I would have given up by the 2nd page! He also said he would post the ticket on LP but never did. This is not unusual, although nobody has come forward to claim a prize in the NJ Raffle AFAIK. At least there haven't been any news articles about the Raffle since the drawing. Maybe nobody wants to go first! In FL almost all 237 winners have validated their tickets. Maybe NJ just isn't posting the names, although I think the four $1 million dollar winners will be big news. Thanks everyone for participating in this thread. I remember when I turned on the 11:00 news one evening and the anchor man announced the New Year's Raffle saying best odds ever. I mean, it wasn't even an advertisement. I guess that's considered to be news! Then they announced that many people didn't get a chance to play so they were having another Raffle for July 4. It just struck me in an odd way that, along with the Iraq War, the local shootings and child rapes, buy your tickets early

In Maryland they said that the raffle tickets would be printed in order from 000000 to 420000 but they did say if you bought ten tickets in a row at the same time, that you might not get consecutive numbers because there might be other people buying tickets at the same time and the central computer will kick out the tickets in the order at which they were place so you might get tickets 100001 and 100005 and 100010 while other people will get the numbers in between. That is bad but they have to do this because they haven't even sold enough tickets to cover the prizes they are offering. They need to sell 275000 tickets to cover the prize amounts. My calculations they need to sell around 81000 more ticket to cover the prize pay outs and the way the tickets are selling it should be about 2 months away for the drawing.
