Is it worth spending $20 on one of those raffle lottery games? With any game of chance the perception will change when the results are known. It's pretty obvious that somebody winning $1000 - $1Million in the last $20 raffle will say it was worth it and some of those people winning nothing will say it was not worth it. The reason I said some is because even though they won nothing, other players might believe it was still a good bet and make it again. Since Michigan has been selling

Michigan Lottery's Super Raffle results announcedReply
I didn't win, but I still feel it was worth the ride. The new raffle goes on sale Monday at 20 bucks a ticket. I'll get at least one of those. A new twist this time though. They have promised to hold the drawing just one week after the tickets sell out! That beats waiting a month and a half like we did for the Super Raffle. We should know the results before the Fourth of July!

I'm not sure what you mean, Lacie. Can you elaborate? Last night Florida Lotto was $20 million. This is a pari-mutuel state, so the jackpots are always based on the money collected from ticket sales. 2 people hit, each with a QP, which is very unusual. I wouldn't mind sharing with them and ending up with 1/3 of the pot (about $225,000 a year for 30 years) The current Raffle tickets went on sale May 18th I believe. There are still about 830,000 tickets left out of the 1.5 million sold -

Well, after saying last week that I would not spend over $20 for a ticket, my brother and I split the cost of the $50 raffle ticket. You have a 1-56 chance of winning $500, so maybe I will win enough to buy 10 tickets in the next raffle.
