But even those secondary prizes are difficult to win because of the odds. It would be a miracle to even match the 5 white balls let alone match all 6 balls. Many people probably have never won more than $100 on a single ticket.

Thanks Gambler667! TB has just 39 main balls plus the Thunderball itself (1-14) - definitely offers better odds compared to the UK Lotto which has 59 main balls. However, the Lotto game has a Hotpicks version which is the one I go after when I feel strongly about it.

Correct. This ambiguity was on purpose. With the 2 first numbers known the odds actually would depend on the second known number as it would determine the field of numbers to choose from.

There is only one set of wining numbers drawn. Every one of those 24 picks is individually up against the same odds, not /24. Anything else can be considered lottery urban legend promoted by system sellers, ticket sellers, and the lotteries themselves. This will probably open a can of worms here but many people fall for the myth of miracle odds reduction. szczescie
