Powerball sales drop busts NJ Lottery's 7-year winning streak
I think this the real reason. Also, it does not help that a lot of us can do the math and know that the changes over the past few years to PM and MM with increased ticket prices and worse odds were implemented only to raise more revenue for the state lotteries at the expense of the players.

Take 5 New York, where's "31"?
In 26 days, 130 numbers have been drawn on the Take 5. Some numbers have come out several times, all but one number, 31 . The odds are in its favor now to come out any night. I'm going to get a Take 5 play card, mark 31, and mark quick pick.

No hit this year
The most important thing Monty is BUDGET. Boxing numbers makes the odds more in your favor. Be content with little hits and wins. Remember, something is better than nothing! $$$

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Do you think the $30 100X is better playing as a 1 and done from different stores or will it be worth it to buy 2 or 3 tickets at a time? Only saying this because buying 3 tickets is already 90 bucks right there so just seeing if the odds make it worth it to dish out that kind of money just hoping for a big win or at least break even.

Lucky for Life
True, true! Can't complain about getting at least some money back to use in the next play.
And yeah I use my own convoluted system to pick numbers for each drawing in whatever game(s) I am playing, really just boils down to splicing several patterns together, and updating them for each drawing. It's probably half of the entertainment for me, admittedly, haha.
I find that it usually increases my win rate (even if just the smallest prize amount) by roughly 100% of what would be an

MM Increase by Only 5 Million?
It also doesn't help that they added an extra 10 millions in odds against you from winning compared to the Powerball for the same 2 dollar price. My money will go to PB until the Mega gets up to a nice amount.

Systems Vs. Numbers-The Big Question
Lucky Loser, et al aficionados
All many good solid goal reaching points above-
You had previously mentioned that players can win, if game providers, will let them
How true, if the games were unbeatable the providers would not need countermeasures - coin
Note Bene:
Caveat, after player finally reaches a positive Return On Investment (R.O.I.) by over coming the odds the next major hurdle is overcoming the casino reactions (any game provider). Never give a sucker an even break ment

Systems Vs. Numbers-The Big Question
Other than doing the math, you can look at the MegaMillions website. State lottery websites also posts the odds all the games they sell.

How random are QUICK PICK tickets?
If the odds are 1:575,757 and 575,757 quick pick tickets are sold
How many tickets do you suppose they actually sold?
A quick glance at a couple of results suggest that 70 to 75k 2 of 5 winners is typical. For odds of 1 in 9.62 that suggests selling about 700k tickets. In turn that suggests an average of 1.2ish winners per drawing. I saw several with 0, 1 or 2 winners, and a few with 3 or even 4. I'll leave it to you to have a look and see how close they've come to an average of 1.2 winn

How random are QUICK PICK tickets?
The odds of getting 2 of 5 are 1 in 9.62. So there will be a lot of tix with 2 numbers correct as opposed to getting 3 or 4 or 5 correct.
