Just how big of a number is one trillion anyway?
We all know how long MegaMillions and PowerBalls odds are. (Mega's will soon be even longer)
But do players appreciate/understand just how long they really are? I know I didn't until last night.
I saw a guy on TV who was talking about the failure of Republican Senators in The U.S. Senate to replace Obamacare. During the conversation with the TV show host, he made the following statement; Do you know how long a trillion seconds is? It's 31,000 years.
MM and PB's odds aren't a trillion t

When is it to quit to play numbers?
Then if I were you I'd focus on just a few. That way if they do come you won't be jumping around and miss it wouldn't you think. Special numbers still count for something. Personal numbers you know. Remember playing more numbers doesn't add favor to your odds, it just mixes them up a little. Only one number can be picked at a time. Eggs and all that. Good luck!

State lotteries losing revenue to 'jackpot fatigue' and casinos
Correct. A simple example is the recent PA Lottery raffle. $10 million worth of tickets offered with $5,089,200 allocated in prizes; ~51% payback, which is typical of most lottery numbers games.
However, payback percentage alone isn't the end all be all, if much of the prize pool is allocated to very difficult to win top prizes. This is how some casinos can offer games, typically slots, near or even exceeding 100% payback and still make money. Few players have enough time nor big enough bankr

I Wish Someone Wd Win PB, MM, and CA SL, Already!
The odds are one in 42 million which of course is much better than PB or MM. This trend of going 6 months, 9 months, and now 5 months without a winner is recent.

Wisconsin SuperCash $$
It definitely burns when others win big. especially since it was 5 buck tickets. Wisconsin doesn't pay out like that on those. No cash has awful odds but people are winning left and right. I wish us all luck in winning No cash...Oh wait we already been winning no cash. I meant lots of cash.

Yea you never know. To tell you the truth I stopped playing PB and MM. I figure if I can't hit supertrash or bagholder 5, I sure won't hit them at those odds.

Just the Jackpot
Everyone likes to complain that PB only doubles the million dollar silver medal, but the lack of that may be MM's Achilles heel. If even 8 people get 5+0's when the Megapiler is 5, they're screwed. The odds to get a 5+0 are about to get MUCH better from 18 Million to 1 to 12 Million to 1.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Awesome win oldghost! 1 in 30,000 odds on that ticket. In addition to the $5 WoF win, somebody hit the $2 L4L top prize as well. I will buy a few tickets today and see if I have some luck.

The odds are going to be insane. Cut back on it. Better chance on state lottery and instant tickets. Check out the pick 3 area and your state.
