As for the best money management jackpot strategy, ideally it would be to only play a jackpot winning drawing. IF someone knew when the jackpot will be won, the odds against their ticket winning are compared to all the tickets sold; not all the possible combos.

If I was gonna drop $210 on lottery tix, I would drop it on tonight's 2 Step draw. Yeah....it's only $1,450,000. But the odds are only 1 in 1,832,600.

The odds are so high that the difference between buying 1 ticket and 105 tickets is negligible at best. However, you can only win if you have at least 1 ticket, so I think it is better to spread it out over many games. Good luck!

Alabama does not have lottery. GA has special games with low top prizes but for the most part the games offer large payouts. The odds however get worse and worse for prizes above $500. I am on the verge of quitting for good.

I have my PB buy-in set at about $290 million cash because the odds are way high and there are fewer and fewer Jackpot winners...or as I say I have ABQ (All But Quit) the PB.

The reason i showed the comparison on 5MFlamingo is that an incredible amount of prizes $1000 and up have been hit/claimed during that 2 week gap.....think about it....177 prizes of $1000 or more on a game that is 93% sold out is really impressive and gives hope to all that many major prizes still exis

About 2 or 3 years ago, before they changed the odds on PB, I noticed that there were more jackpot winners with PB. I think it was spring 2015 or 2014. That's when I started playing PB and for smaller jackpots because they were having winners 1-x2 a month.

Can there any longer be any doubt now that MM has been won and PB continue to roll? What I don't understand is when both jackpots are similar and odds of winning something favors MM, players spend more on the more expensive PB tickets. Now that PB will have no competition for a while it should roll up even faster.

Thanks, omiller. Yes, it's a weird prize, but at least the odds aren't too horrible for it. And even if that last ticket on Fabulous $500s was a $500 winner, I still won more with $777. Both wins came where I was going to do another thing. When I got the $1,000 win, I was going to play a $20 ticket but was a bit down that day and didn't want to lose on a $20 ticket.

When you consider both games have similar odds but one cost twice as much PB seems the obvious winner. MM sell $18,882,204 worth of tickets to generate a $1M winner and payout $3,221.827 in prizes while PB sell $23,376,108 worth of tickets to generate a $1M winner and payout $3,748,602 in prizes which leaves more money to build its jackpots.
