I am honestly trying to decide whether or not to resume buying lottery tickets again. I was thinking of buying Mega Millions tickets, because at least Mega Millions tickets are still only $1. But not only are the odds slim to none at 1 in 275,000,000, but honestly, I read stories of previous lottery winners, and I know that family members and relatives would fight me over any lottery prize.

$25,000 a year is pretty close to the poverty line, especially in an expensive state like NY. You do you but given the odds for either, you may as well try for a bigger prize.

Lotto Max is to rich for me . I may buy 1 ticket when it goes over 50 million. The odds of over 80 million to 1 to win the first prize is ridiculous and the lower prizes are not worth the investment. 5 to 10 thousand for 6 numbers right, when 649 pays minimum 5 million for 6 numbers right. Anyhow those are my thoughts.

Do you pick your own numbers then? I've only ever used quick picks. Maybe I will just focus on Classic then. The odds are a little intimidating but it is bound to hit soon.

Holiday Gifts Book # 2376 was a pretty solid book. It yielded some type of profit, which is very rare with any scratchoff book. I may have scratched the oldest $10 Holiday Gifts book in existence. There is probably less than 100 books remaining, with at least a few confirmed books out there under the 70k range. I know AK has one in the 69k range, and I've heard of several in the lower range. The odds of the last 2M is very slim, but there's also still a few $10k, $5k, and a decent number of $1k

Man I just can't find any scratchers worth playing any more. I only buy $5-$20 scratchers and I find myself happy just to break even on a scratcher these days. 8 out of 10 are losers and when I do win, I break even. What has happened? Is any agency watching over the Florida Lottery to make sure it's playing fairly? The advertised odds I find very hard to believe.
