I don't see anything unusual about it. That's about the same percentage of profits they make in the other games. El Gordo is unusual because it returns 70% of the money in prizes, but 50% is common for USA lotteries, regardless of game. Cash Only always complains about NY's 40% return. What's different about the raffle is not the state's profit, it's your odds of winning a million dollars (much better odds in a raffle game). (In Delaware, it's a better shot at winning $250,000.)

Does anyonne know of a listing that reacaps the state lottery raffles? It would be interesting to see which have done well (such as Florida) and those that seem to be struggling (such as South Carolina). Is there a web site out there that is tracking this information

Delaware's Raffle is a very good deal if they don't sell 34,000 tickets in the next 13 days. I wouldn't anticipate it happening. I doubt Delaware will do another raffle, but then again, nothing surprises me with this state lottery. It's too bad Delaware Lottery is so messed up because Delaware really is a nice place to live and it is actually contrary to most state operations, which are generally (but not 100%) responsive to the public.
