However it's not a good idea telling people who like/ love playing the lottery that they wasting their time money ought to quit.Saying things like you never going to win is discouraging to people who are hoping to beat the odds . As if they printed 50 million tickets which is mostly likely not possible on a 20$ game! It mostly goes up to 50 per pack and if it were to print 50 million tickets it would exceed book range! Not possible! They both have same odds at the end if the jackpot for both is 1million! The game with higher tickets just last longer!

There are winners in those games just like any other scratch game. The odds are higher, the payout depends on the game but usually 20 years, I don't see why anyone would continue working, the advertised payout is annualized so if you win you have the option of getting the cash value option which is one lump sum payment about a little more than half the advertised jackpot.

The best time to buy is when the advertised jackpot is in the $350 to $550 million dollar range. The tickets will cost the same as when the jackpot is smaller, the odds will be the same as when the jackpot is smaller, and if you happen to win there's still a fairly good chance you won't be sharing with anyone else.

@ Ronnie - True, let's add that to the list lmao. @ Kamba - Np, and that game can certainly be hot or cold just like the $20 Gold Rush. I just spent $5 on a last minute decision to buy 5 NY Take5 tickets and didn't win anything at all. Playing better odds is a pretty bad strategy given how difficult it is to win anything. I'm sticking to the big lotteries from now on because atleast i can dream big. '

i hate the pari mutuel cali lotto system . hitting 5 numbers should be a million minimum for the odds in this game. unfortunate scenario for the person in san jose . yeah he still won 75 grand but must be bittersweet either way knowing that someone last week iirc won close to 2 million before taxes for hitting 5 numbers .
