Been playing the lottery for years without a major win. So...
To me, the best increase in odds is buying the 1st ticket, anything else is a waste of money. oh and i do waste money.

How many tickets do you buy for each drawing?
Generally 2 each for both PB MM. l only play our Superlotto Plus game when it gets over $15 mil . This may sound strange but even with better odds, SLP rarely gives me anything back, however PB does from time to time- small stuff, nothing to call grandma about. Perhaps this is fortuitous of me winning the PB jackpot.

How many tickets do you buy for each drawing?
For games like powerball and mega millions, when I play, I usually only buy one ticket. For games with lower odds, like Wisconsin supercash, I usually run my numbers (which I change daily depending the the previous days draw) multiple times. The jackpot is 350K and they allow up to 20 winners per day.

Print more ticket than the jackpot hit rate?
yeah but don't they keep the odds the same? like print either 3 million more tickets with 1 new jackpot, or 6 million additional tickets with 2 new jackpots, etc?

Congrats Long Odds!!! That was definitely a good call. I started playing it after seeing your post but lost focus and did not play back last evening.

How much do you all think is enough to retire on?
If I retired soon I'll need to plan for 70+ years so I'd need quite a lot more, 25 Million after taxes should be enough figuring inflation will drain the dollar's value. BUT given the odds of winning, I'm not gonna throw my money away unless the amount is gonna be truly record breaking (i.e at least in the top 25 largest for both annuity and cash).

British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
Enjoyed your posts long odds . Those who support Obama have absolutely no clue just how damaging fundamentally changing America has altered the America we all have known and loved.

Florida Lottery revamps daily game lineup
Zero quints have been drawn in PA. Odds of a quint is 1 in 10,000. There have only been ~5,800 drawings to date. So if one played $20 everyday (to cover all the quints) on PA Pick-5 (formerly Quinto) began, nearly 8 years ago, in late Aug-2008, they would have already wagered in ~5,800 drawings and lost ~$58,000.

Pick 3> Odds 1/1000,1/67 , 1/33 is your filter for str8
If you play one straight combo, there is 1 potential outcome in which you win, and 999 potential outcomes in which you lose. In odds lingo, the : symbol puts positive results on one side, negative results on the other side. Basically.

Tri State Megabucks Plus
Agreed that I wish it was $1 per line. With the overall odds being as decent as they are however I almost always win at least $2 every draw when playing 5 lines, so that makes the overall cost of playing the game a little less. This is the perfect week to win the Megabucks JP with all the buzz and focus here on the winner of Saturday's massive Powerball jackpot. A $3.85 million JP win would go virtually unnoticed after that!
