The wicked witch of the west is increasing the price of a ticket and increasing the star (ball) pool. However, other news in the Land of Euro is the jackpot is capped for four draws (an increase and seems like quite a few) at about 157m and if not won rolled down to be shared. Also, a lot of people factor in those second tier prizes and this has better odds. High jackpots with numerous rollovers seem to be the norm when changes are made and can't say I like it.

Me , I'd rather buy 5 , $1 tickets than 1 , $5 ticket . The prize may be smaller but the return odds are better and a better chance of making a profit .

It's not only possible, it's probable. Why? Well....... there are over 258 MILLION reasons. I play several games here in Tx including MM and PB. I would be happy with a Tx 2 Step win, although I couldn't retire on it. But, with MM and PB, I could retire on second prize. And that's why it's worth it for me to play. I like to play for big jackpots so I like higher jackpots with worse odds because I know at least the jackpot will climb to a decent level before someone wins. And as long as you have a ticket to that game you have a chance to win it.-weshar75

California doesnt have the megaplier option. I have noticed that it has gotten rare for me to even win a buck or two the odds are so bad. You cant win the big prize and you can win the smaller ones either. The changes they made in the Calif scratchers has completely ruined the games.

Most states already have a game with better odds with jackpots of $5-25M. Ohio has Classic Lotto(6/49) 1:13,983,816 with a $9M jackpot. PB and MM were added hoping to lure more players for its local games but players prefer the $100M+ jackpots.

I bought a ticket for the last draw because the cash value had just topped $200 million. I will continue to purchase one pick until the cash value exceeds $300 million then I'll most likely buy 2 or 3 picks. Odds are simply too insane to waste anything more than that.

Of course i would accept it immediately. That said, why spend $2 at a chance for a once in a lifetime occurrence when i know that there is a high likelihood that waiting a few more draws will allow the same $2 can have a chance at a much larger prize? The odds are so slim, you aren't ever going to win it twice, i want to use my one time on an amount I'll never look down no matter how much richer i become.

With the odds of the big lotteries, it is almost impossible to win more than once. Thus you only get one jackpot in your lifetime. 288 isn't enough (especially now that I've been buying $1 MM tickets for so long) for me to be happy using my one jackpot on. I'l buy one when it gets to 350M+
