I think that powerball has crossed the line what do you think?
Agree. It worked once, but will it work a second time? Or will they loose sales again because who's going to to play for a lousy 40 million with the odds so high after this? Better prizes for the lower level matches would keep up some level of interest.

So, do you think that...?
Did you read what I wrote? I thought I was quite clear in what I wrote. I'll repeat it one more time. Julie Leach is the last person to win under that last matrix. After they changed the matrix, 9 draws went by before someone one in Tennessee won winning $144 million. The question is, now that the Powerball jackpot is at $1.3 billion, with the same 1 in 292 million odds, do you think the winner in TN feels jipped?

I think PB MM have both gone too far with the ODDS TO WIN the jackpot. Their greed for more money will be their downfall.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Uncle Sam is the biggest crook in history, every time someone wins and beats the odds he steals 36% and didn't even have to pay a dime to play. I would love to see his bank account balance. I am guessing a few warehouses of double stacked pallets like this? (Trillion dollars)

You know what this Powerball first billion does? It makes Mega Millions look bad...
They already changed it once and got record jackpots recently. I would prefer they stay the same as I would rather spend $1.00 for better odds, and I buy MM more often than PB because of that. So I don't think PB is making MB look bad at all, if anything PB looks bad and a lot less likely to win. People are only buying into the hype because it finally got so high and broke all records because they made it harder to win. So most would rather play MM when they are lower.

Good point. Rebranding it as Mega Billions with a new insane matrix with odds of winning measured in the billions. The name Mega Millions now seems nearly as silly as having a game called Mega Thousands. Or I suppose Mega Millions could keep the same name like Motel 6 and Super 8 did, despite motel rates increasing, and cater to the budget player who balks at spending more than $1 per line.

$900 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot to create unimaginable wealth
Actually Washington Wizards rookie Chris Singleton spent $10,000 on Mega Millions tickets and lost lol. Not sure if won any of the smaller prizes. But when you got that kind of money already it doesn't matter. You don't even need to play the lottery. But I would say if you can afford my chances it is worth increases your odds some.

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly To The Powerball Rolling Over...
i think when you have the powerball rolling into the billions the odds of winning should be increased in the players favor. i would rather see 100 people win a million dollars each than one or two geezers winning the whole pot.

$900 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot to create unimaginable wealth
If Calif has five 5/6 winners, some one somewhere has to have that 6th number. If not, it tells you how unbelievable the odds are. I wd like it to roll over for the entertainment value alone.

Power Ball winner. Maybe not.
We have 322,806,000 million people in the US. 23.1 % are under 18 years old. Which leaves 248,337,914 of legal age to buy tickets.
With the odds of 292,201,338:1 to one of winning, if each person bought one ticket, there would still be 43,863,424 unsold combinations.
Of course people will buy more than one ticket. I'm just putting the odds of winning in perspective. So maybe no one hits the jackpot after all.
Good Luck!!!
