computer states switching back to balls
I discarded my vote simply because I believe the switch to computers will occur prior to reverting back to a ball machine. This line of conversation reminds me of a short story I read many years ago in a Sci-Fi magazine. It was about how an individual had figured out how to fix the balls in the machine as such to allow only the numbers he wanted to drop. The idea is ingenius. It was a simple matter of coating the balls with a chemical and then applying another chemical to the exit. The two chem

Hoosier Lottery insists computers are better than ball drawings
here's the thing. as the director stated in the article, they can't afford to buy air time for the actual drawing.here's the solution (and i've been saying thids for quite some time). upload the security camera footage (video and audio) to the website, so players can see what exactly goes on during the drawing. if necessary, dub it into a digital tape format.

Hoosier Lottery insists computers are better than ball drawings
It is the same reason as to why I dont like to play slots at casinos, who knows what these computers are programmed to do. I would rather play craps or roulette where I can actually see the action and the result. That is what they fail to understand. No one cares about security, the only thing they are trying to secure is the bottom line.

Multi-state game
If the blue game starts drawing numbers, I think MM will be the best because CA is in it. I like the computerized drawings because security is very important thanks to terrorist attacks.

Texas Lottery critic turns down selection committee post
rip wrote: Now they just have to jump through the various hoops of a selection committee, frown thoughtfully, let a bit of time pass, and slip in whomever it is they've already got picked for the job.Yea that's the way it's usually done regardless of wether the person has the gumption or not. There's a lot more to the job description, qualifications, and endorsements security checks etc etc. than the few blurbs i posted. All in all the best candidate should have some kind of proven track record i

Former Texas Lottery employee indicted in scam
However, since that scam was discovered, the agency's security division has been reduced. The number of commissioned law officers was slashed from 35 to four and investigative field offices were closed in a reorganization in November. Its harder to scam the public when some one is watching. I wonder how the lottery in other states would fair if they had an anti-lottery group dedicated to making it look bad? I suspect Texas is only one of many states who crooks in the kitchen.

Indiana lottery sales decline has officials probing illegal games
well they need to do somethings to get people back.1. clean house of the corrupt people2. switch all games that could use ball drawings to ball drawings with web video available for these drawings3. have independent audits for the security of scratch tickets so no scams happen with them. short of doing that they are just going to loose more money at a rapid clip.

More Texas Lottery trouble:" Auditor's warning erased from report
If they had a Security Division it might be worthwhile to investigate whether anyone in that outside auditing firm had any jackpot wins sometime after the final audit report came out.Might be the head man over there used to keep a high-dollar scratcher in his desk drawer as sort of a good luck charm.Jack
