Post Your Winning Tickets Here
Went to the district office today in Miami Lakes. When they called #49 a man who had #48 went to the window. Number 49 started yelling at the man and actually said Can you count? The security guard tried to intervene and Mr. 49 said Don't talk to me! Then security said to him You have been giving me attitude since you came in. Then there was a bunch of profanity and threats to kick his a$$. But security went back and sat down. Then they call Mr. 49 back to the window and security yelled karma an

Thief steals $27,000 worth of Pennsylvania Lottery tickets from gas station
It's double blinded in the sense, Scientific Games knows which batch has winning tickets but they're not in charge of where the tickets go. PA lottery is in charge of where the tickets go but they're not told which batch contains the winning ticket. That's the basics of it, as I understand it. Quite a while back somebody from the security department of a lottery (Indiana, I think) was able to determine where a big winner had been sent and (again, IIRC) sent someone else there to buy all of

Three $1 million winning Powerball lottery tickets sold at the same New York store
I'm sure the lottery already looked at the stores security cameras along with ticket print times to know if it was only one person or not. Not sure if New York has vending lotto machines, but I had a issue once with a Michigan Lottery vending machine and customer support looked up the transaction from the last 4 digits of my debit card. The Lottery knows but there not going to give that info out for security reasons.

Winner who claimed half of $395 million Mega Millions jackpot sues California Lottery for other half
This is a bit paranoid. Store security footage belongs to the store, not the lottery. The lottery asks for a copy, it does not confiscate . Most stores keep their own archives of security footage for a certain period of time.

Iowa Lottery has delivered $6.1B in prizes since 1985
Iowa Lottery celebrates 40 years Sales of the first Iowa Lottery tickets began in 1985 with a kickoff celebration at the Iowa State Fair. Forty years later, state fairgoers broke the Guinness World Record for the most people 1,380 to scratch lottery cards simultaneously, demonstrating the lottery's journey from $1 scratch tickets to a multibillion-dollar enterprise. Since its launch was approved by the state Legislature and signed into law by then-Gov. Terry Branstad, the lottery has gen

you win the jackpot. how far away are you moving?
Very true indeed. Gates provide a false sense of security. I live in a gated community and all those gates do is keep out people that mean no harm and solicitors. The bad guys cant be stopped getting in the community even with the gates closed. There is no security guard in the guard house at the gates either. The HOA says it's too expensive to hire security guards and won't pay for them. The worst felony gates help to reduce is burglary. National studies of gated community's show gates red

Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
Here are a few points that connect my impressions to the latest facts: The Ring/Nest Video : The footage you mentioned has become a cornerstone of the investigation. Images show an armed, masked individual wearing gloves and attempting to cover the camera lens with foliage before disconnecting it. Experts noted the suspect seemed to know the exact location of the cameras, suggesting a highly pre-planned crime. The Kidnapper's Intelligence : As the detective you heard mentioned, there are sig

Data breach at lottery tech vendor Brightstar exposes personal info of over 100,000 individuals
Another example of the identity verification process being hacked, just like the Tea app that was recently hacked, and many others. In my opinion it's because securing uploads like identity photos can be a challenge, and these companies don't put in the effort or cost required to do it. It is enticingly simple to setup a simple cloud service and do security by obscurity meaning the files are not actually secured (locked down), but instead they rely upon people not finding them because you'd

Make IE6 able to use secure pages - Enabling TLS support on IE6
First of all, if you're still using Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) at this point, you are using a very old and unsecured Web browser. You really need to either upgrade to a modern version of Internet Explorer, or else you should be using a different brand of browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox . That being said, if you're still using IE6 and you try using a secure Web page at Lottery Post (or USA Mega ), you may find that it doesn't work. An example of a secure page is the Log In page, whic
