Florida Lottery Holiday Millionaire Raffle
Not only will the grand prize drawing on Dec 31st pick 7 new millionaires, it will also give away (15) $50,000 prizes, (25) $5,000 prizes, and (500) $500 prizes. Combined with the prize money given out for the weekly draws (but not counting the $500 each for the 10 winners of the Football drawing) I believe that brings the prize payout to 58% of the total pool, if all tickets are sold. (I certainly hope my math is correct this time!) I mean, odds of 1: 107,143 of winning a million dollars

PA Raffle Countdown
Around 5:15 am PA Lottery is up and can sell numbers tickets. However, checking / redemption of any tickets, including instants, doesn't start until around 6 am. On many (maybe all?) days, all numbers ticket sales close at 10:45 pm. Not sure if they resume anytime afterwards. Furthermore, not sure if this is a recent change or something PA Lottery has long done, but didn't notice. I've purchased tickets well into the 11 pm hour in the distant past. Regardless, all sales and redemption end at

Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
Only ~6 days remaining, and still no ticket countdown on the website (they say it's shown in the app, but not seeing on Android). I understand why PA Lottery is downplaying the countdown due to lousy sales. However, at this point, a widely publicized countdown can't hurt, and would likely will help drive some sales. For those seeking to game this, don't bet the ranch, because it's still likely around 400,000 tickets will sell. Still an improvement on the odds, but not significantly. Keep in m

Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
Actually, I think I do know why players wait until the last minute to buy their raffle tickets. I'm a day of the drawing buyer for the weekly online drawing games that I play, and I'm willing to bet the vast majority of players everywhere are the same way. If you were to analyze the number of tickets sold for any given Tuesday MegaMillions drawing, my guess is that'd you'd see that the most tickets sold for that drawing were sold on the day of the drawing. (Tuesday!) Yes, some tickets will

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
Just a small addition to my earlier post ... maybe buying raffle tickets after sales pass the half-way mark or 250,000 tickets sold, would be the way to go. It seems foolish to buy any tickets very early ... under 100,000 ... there are not that many large prize winners under 100,000. It would seem buying after 250,000 would be a better bet and maybe only after ticket sales go past 300,000, but there are some high prize winning numbers between 250,000 and 300,000 ... maybe more with the $10

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
My guess is that they will sell out. I don't know why there is such a ticket buying frenzy the last few days they're on sale, but that's something that's not unique to Pennsylvania. The same thing happens in Connecticut with their SuperDraw raffle. Maybe it's that 20 dollar price point that makes people hold off until the last minute. Perhaps people are reluctant to part ways with a twenty until they realize there's precious little time to participate in the raffle. Someone asked in an

Group Size Limit...
I know you and your group would like to be playing all that money toward a large jackpot ... so everybody has enough for retirement or whatever. Maybe a state raffle would be something to think about ... with that kind of money for two months buying raffle tickets and with the odds much better to win a million dollars or more ... give that some thought. The PA raffle sells only 500,000 tickets at $20 a ticket ... there are four $1 million dollar prizes and four $100,000 prizes and many low

Take5 NY
Hi G5, Get that suit, sunglasses and speech ready G5. I can see it now LP player G5 wins The Connecticut SuperDraw 50/50 Raffle on that show on that lottery show on TLC. Quotes from the family like every time we drive around CT we got that make that stop... lol. I did not buy a ticket for this raffle but if I did it would have been at the last minute. I heard chatter about the raffle while buying my CTL daily number tickets at the Stop and Shop - I work on the border of CT/NY. The incr

NJ CASH 5 @ 900 Thousand
The p-6 jackpot moves up at a snails pace which means sales are sluggish at best. I would like to see them scrap that game and go with a weekly or bi-weekly raffle game. Speaking of raffles check out PA's raffle. Sales will be starting soon for their New Year's millionaire raffle. 500,000 tickets to be sold with (4) Million Dollar prizes and (4) $100,000 prizes. Effectivley giving you a 1 in 125,000 chance of winning a large one. The catch?? The better the odds are typically th

CA Superlotto Plus, new 2nd Chance
Are you excited about the new CA Superlotto Plus 2nd Chance draws that began yesterday? http://www.calottery.com/happenings/SLP-2nd-Chance I guess they are trying to makeup for starting and then abruptly pulling the Raffle promotion they had before. https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/257986 Seems to be better prizes: They draw 5 winners of $15,000 per week.($75,000 per week) The previous Raffle was only 20 $500 prizes.($10,000 per week) And that's also better than the Fantasy 5 2n
