Ohio New Year Raffle
In December the Ohio Lottery Commission ran radio ads for the New Years raffle touting that the listeners might not want to tell anyone about the raffle as ones odds would improve with fewer people and that the raffle would be held January 2nd, the ad mentions no chance of delay or possible date extension for ticket sales. How is this not a case of bait and switch?

Ohio New Year Raffle
When i bought my ticket,it was knowing they were planning on selling 500000 tickets total. so i don't feel the odds have changed. And i believe one other time they extended selling time. when i bought my second ticket, they hadn't even sold enough to cover prize costs. so this came as no surprise.no,I don't think it will be extended any more .I can wait till monday to see my number has been drawn.

Plans for 2015?
I plan to play more! I only played 16 tickets this past year. Not sure why I didn't play more, guess I just had a busy year. I also plan to stop draw games altogether (except perhaps a new record jackpot), as that category is where nearly all of my losses came from in both 2013 and 2014. Plus they have the worst odds.

Are my odds BETTER than yours?
You can do these for poweball or megamil but i would not do it for the daily games...you will lose more than you will win when you hit. Playing the same numbers over and over doesnt mean you have BETTER odds than others mathematically.

No winner in NY CashForLife?
From what I have heard the game is not that popular due to the odds and price point this is why they have had three promotions giving away free tickets since the game was introduced.

What are some ways to Increase my odds of winning the Powerball?
Honestly, nothing but luck will help you win Powerball. There are what... 175,223,510 combinations. There is really nothing you can do to increase your odds unless you can buy a whole lot of tickets. Just buy a ticket or two and hope for the best.

Actually, the most due pair in the known universe is that split-pair 0x6 which is now out 842 draws. 842 draws! How is that even possible? If it keeps up until February 2nd, the odds against will be 10,000:1. Crazy!

What are some ways to Increase my odds of winning the Powerball?
Welcome Kurtis to Lottery Post. I just won five dollars playing quick pick. The odds are the same for each ball in the tub. I played five quick picks and five of my own numbers. Quick picks have the lead in the total number of wins compared with self picks for the jackpot. Good Luck and happy hunting ! music*

I misspoke when I mentioned that there might be a few more gifts in the above chart. One can only give what one owns. I don t own knowledge of the future. I play against the odds like everyone else, and I receive a beating like everyone else.

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Thanks for the explanation. Now it makes sense why tickets will offer different multipliers - presumably, to better limit prize liability. Seems to me, lotteries are getting worried about the future of Powerball and Mega Millions. The per draw sales, even at the $100 million jackpot level, aren't all that great. Sales below a certain level make the games too risky to offer without changes, just as what happened with the failed Monopoly Millionaires Club game.
To digress a bit, while PB MM are
