Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
Which lottery game offers better prizes relative to money spent? You have to focus on the overall odds of winning something. Small prizes reduce your lottery losses, they keep you in the game.

WOW! 1 winning ticket, New York
Interesting picks, I still think they could pull off a new york win again ( or california ), that foolishness will hopefully make more stop playing. Then the big states can play against each other. People need to play their own state jackpot lotteries, it has much lower odds then the big few state lotteries.

Post your scratch ticket results
I honestly do believe it's all random. The odds of scratching off a big winner are astronomical, higher then the average player will scratch in their lives.
When you look at it, often times you need a pretty big number of trials until the law of averages play. For example, a 50/50 coin flip will usually start to pan out around the 10th flip or so. Just two flips is not enough, even 4 or 5. Once you head past 10 flips the results should be fairly average.
Here we have a result of

$321 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot is red hot
The lottery industry is so big, that it does not miss those that quit playing. Some people like to play the lottery regardless of the odds of winning. Hence Mega Millions and Powerball.

Glad I have been of help, though sometimes mistaken or misinforming
On a side note, I ended up using another application for the big scenario and these are my results for mean entries per ticket (assuming I programmed it correctly):
3.5263 - 10,000 tickets @ 1000 trials
3.6321 - 100,000 tickets @ 100 trials
3.6628 - 1,000,000 tickets @ 48 trials (interrupted, got tired of waiting lol)
Doesn't matter much, but just thought I would include it as the results pretty much conf

To start off, I did some quick calculations and now I understand why they included the Community Chest for new accounts.
I would wager if you get even 40 entries you will be VERY lucky (unless of course you buy many tickets).
Here's why:
In order to complete a property set you have to have entered codes for each property in the set. Because the property is QP, every ticket is independent. This means that your odds of getting any one property are 1 in 28 (unless the terminal is biased).

My Amazing Road Trip Plus Week Nine Fantasy Picks
I really wish more people would pay attention to odds and payback percentages. Right now the Millionaire Maker contest as of 12 hours to kick off only has 37,000 out of 92,400 entries filled. This contest will pay back more than 100%. It truly is your best chance at becoming a millionaire if you think about it. Plus it pays out to the to 20% of the field or so( more with the overlay)

It's funny that you posted this. I was just thinking about this yesterday when looking at sales for the game. I actually have not yet modeled this as I have been waiting to see how sales performed.
Personally, I think at least 2/3rds of players will enter the online entries. The number of tickets sold is conditional on a) people willing to pay $5, and b) people understanding how to play. Although it is obvious that many players still do not understand how to play, I believe the majority has a
