With the frenzy over raffles, and the $500,000,000 MM jackpots that never happened despite the hype about California joining making it possible, what if there was a jackpot game that was conducted like a raffle- no draw until all the thiclets are sold? In this case all the tickets would mean all the combinations. Granted, no seasoned lotto player is going to play 1 2 3 4 5 6, but some people would play that just to get a drawing conducted. justxploring: Also, since a limited number of tickets are sold, I wish more people were able to just purchase one. I believe there were 1,250,000 sold in FL but I doubt if even a million people got a chance to play. It took 6 weeks for Ohio to sell 500,000 $20 raffle tickets so I don't know how anybody could claim they didn't have a chance to buy a ticket . I think they're doing a raffle as just a way to shake it up and try something different. Raffles do well in other states, so maybe they can catch on here too. I'd think that a first or second time (in so many years) might fly under the radar, but bring awareness to this new way to play after it concludes and later if a new round begins.
