The MM 1million dollar winners
At odds of 1:18,492,204 to hit the MM second prize, I am surprised that some one hits at all. Good luck if MM is your chosen game.

Post your scratch ticket results
You can approximate the number of tickets sold by multiplying the number of prizes claimed by the odds of winning those prizes. Of course, it's more accurate if you can get the number of prizes claimed for each level (file Open Records request), then summing, and multiplying by overall odds. It isn't perfect but I have done this and compared it to internal lottery sales reports and the numbers were very, very close. You can then apply these numbers to a hypergeometric distribution to deter

New pick 7 daily game in Texas
So how do you calculate your true odds when they are doing a 55/10/7? I know that 55/10 = 29,248,649,430 to 1 and 10/7 = 120 to 1. So what formula do you use for 55/10/7?

New pick 7 daily game in Texas
$2 games seems to be where all the lotteries are going. Some of the games have two sets of prizes, but they are still $2 tickets. Some players like those games because the overall odds are much better. All or Nothing is 1 in 4.5 and Five Card Cash is 1 in 3.66.

New pick 7 daily game in Texas
Saw this before I went to work this morning. I don't think I'm gonna be interested in this game. Another $2 game, which doesn't surprise me. I think the Texas 2 Step still has the best odds for the jackpot size for only $1.

Have you had the feeling of being scared to check winning ticket?
Well, since I do not realistically EXPECT to win due to the astronomical odds against winning, I have no problem having my slim HOPES of winning dashed by checking my ticket right away and finding out only that first number matched the numbers drawn. Additionally, I do not get excited by jackpot amount as even the minimum jackpot prize of the multi state games would be great for my net worth!

Two (2) Power Number System for Pick 6 Lotto
Sorry I calculated wrong. Actually the odds are much greater, because to pick the correct 3 out of 36 is 36x35x34=42,840 which of course is still better than 1 in 376,992. Which are such long shots you might as just as well save your money or buy a quick pick. Most lottery's are won with quick picks anyways.
