JonD, we all know there is a 0% chance of a winner in a previous draw but the lottery (or at least MUSL) looks at the cumulative probability this way (see point 2 at the bottom of any recent official Powerball jackpot estimate sheet...they call it cumulative coverage ). This game is a waste of money and I spent alot on it the most I have ever won was 50 dollars. Once I bought 10 tickets in a row. Out of the 10 one was a winner an it was only 30 dollars. I don't believe their odds. I have 200 and many 100s and way more in other scratch offs than this one.

It all about rewards against risk. Lotteries attract players by offering a chance to win millions of dollars by risking one or two dollars. Casino offer better odds but the rewards aren't as big. If the chances of winning was the same for both sides then it wouldn't be gambling.

I think it will slow down the number of tickets sold , until the pot get bigger odds to great . people will lose interest for a while . on the flip side we might get a Billion dollar jackpot. because of it ...we'll see
