New Mega Million math 75 + 15 = 6
This would be a cool scenerio, if numbers 57-75 never fall your odds of winning jackpot would be 1 in about 57 million and second prize would be 1 in about 4 million

Tickets for updated Mega Millions game on sale Saturday
Yo Slugger you are very astute. I read the article and did not pick up on those phony odds they are quoting. Good catch.

Sure you can have a chance at $5 million, but that's only if you pay twice a much for a ticket and the megaplier is 5 instead of 2,3 or 4. Depending on what state you're in a $1 ticket may get you better odds of winning the jackpot in the state game, which can be considerably more than $5 million. The overall structure of MM makes it a poor choice until the jackpot gets considerably bigger than the starting value.

Pulling it together in Ohio
good job karamu.... i think that was absurd ... a 4 as first digit...3 out of 4 draws and 3 in the middle 3 out of 4 draws...what are the odds.....

I play all different ways but my preferred way is to buy $100 worth at a time and buy say 4 $5 tickets from a single roll, a different 4 $5 tickets, maybe 2 $10, one $20 etc. Scratch all those , cash the smaller winners in and buy more from the rolls I did not win on. Seems logical to me when every roll in Texas has a minimum amount of wins on every roll that you might as well buy from the same roll. You have no idea if the person before you just won a million dollars are if it was the 10th

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Those results seem to suggest the odds of breaking even are about the same regardless of the type of lottery game you play. It's just a matter of whether you want to waste your money chasing a $50 or a million dollars prize.

Do you see the present MM jackpot being won BEFORE the change or continuing on?
MUSL is probably hoping there isn't a jackpot winner since a even higher jackpot will boost sales for it new format. Once its new overall odds kick in and players start winning something more often sales should be good until someone wins and the jackpot is reset to $15M.

Its Seems to me this new 100x the Money Game is made for people to aim at the Million Dollar Prize. Definatley not a game to play to get lower tiers Prizes such as $500, $200 and even $100 for that matter. Lots of Prizes under $100 and Supposed great Odds at hitting a Million.
