The Florida Lottery announces that Anthony Jones, 44, of Jacksonville, claimed a $1 million prize in the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Jones chose to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $701,099.94. Jones purchased his winning 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off ticket from Moncrief Food Store, located at 4936 Moncrief Road West in Jacksonville. It's all about the odds and ticket sales. The last 4 draws Mega Millions only had combination coverage of 14-18 percent. When you're selling less than 20% of combinations every time (which resets for each draw), then not having a winner is actually normal. Cumulative coverage up to and including the last draw was only 88%. We could roll right into the new matrix without a winner and it would be perfectly well within reason.

lol if I was in Ohio right now I would be playing Classic Lotto too.....our pick 6 odds are nearly twice as bad but our jackpots have only been 1/3rd yours.

I'm changing my playing style for a month
After playing MM/PB for almost 2yrs, I'm going to spend a month buying my local state game (classic lotto) and not buying any MM/PB tickets. The odds seem better for classic lotto even tho the prize levels for matching 5/6 is less. It will be interesting to see the results at the end of the month.

Bottom line: I think any lotto game has to be sized properly for the playing population. I don't know the sales numbers on Hot lotto, but looking at those results, I'd guess the annual sales is less than the odds on the top prize of 29M? That's not sized properly. A 5/39 game or 6/49 game would not be sized properly for a national game.(too small) And also, if MM and PB have taken the sales away from the local state lotto, a 6/49 game may no longer be sized properly for the state.(too big)

now let me redo that idea. if you play the fire ball you now have a better chance to get the triple if you play doubles but then the fire ball has to come in which is not likely cuz the odds arenot in our favor but the n who knows

I would say that the average JP will be around 600 million, the main reason for the matrix change is that people love to play for large jackpots. I am excited about the changes and can't wait for the game to start. The overall odds of winning something is a good thing no matter how you look at it. Small wins also make the game more fun because no one likes to get skunked. I also like the $1.00 ticket cost so all things considered I think the game will do well. New matrix odds 1

Count me in on the 4D, don't post much. I am always watching 4 the one 4D combo that has never come in: 0000 lol. Missed the 9999 by 1 day. Have been playing the 2679 combo now then due to long term odds... hasn't come up in any order for over 3023 draws now.
