Maryland: 7/1 - 7/31/2013
You almost nailed the midday straight. 1341 midday 07/25/13. Ok here is the breakdown your bets were 946 box combos from the 50 numbers posted, your odds were 10.56:1 to get a box and you got one!!!!!!! YAY on the first roll!! so if you had done $1.00 box on 1341 midday your net would have been $350.00 good day.

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?

Simply put, one or more of the three digits drawn in the last drawing have the same equal chance of being drawn in the next drawing as any of the seven digits not drawn. The village idiot could say just as profoundly the last drawing has no direct mechanical influence on the next drawing, but I would expect a professor of mathematics t

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Really somewhere In the vicinity of 125 million to 1 compared to 175 million to 1.....all sense is lost when someone tries to rationalise those odds. They both are impossible In my opinion to win at this point.

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Since PB costs $2 and MM still only costs $1, it's pretty much a tossup between them. I'll probably opt to pay $1 less instead of playing the slightly better odds of PB.

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Now instead of odds like being stuck by lightning while being eaten by a bear, it's more like being struck by lightning while being eat by a bear while in the middle of Death Valley when it is raining!

Good point, RJOh. Sounds like they're targeting the average player with this, too. They really think players are chumps: Megaplier to be expanded The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is being redesigned to offer bigger starting jackpots and better overall odds beginning Oct. 22. Mega Millions Lottery
It's not going to take forever to win a jackpot once the odds change. I still think $100 million + MM jackpots will be rare.

Mega Millions Lottery
Perhaps people fail to cash the small prize tickets often enough that they found incentive to hand out a whole lot more of them? I'm wondering if the odds for winning $1 million will be BETTER on a scratch off?
