Furlough Government Shutdown and the Lottery
I agree with RedStang.
But I would like to emphasize a little.
It affects ALL lotterys if 350,000 people nationwide decide to cut back on lottery spending because they are NOT getting paid.
Also, if DC is not paying now,
Does that mean the other 50 states, will have to stop paying if they cant get money from the treasury after the deadline?

N.Y. couple wins $162M lottery jackpot - but owes $1M
No, none of us know the facts but some seem a little anxious to knot the rope. It's like they're saying: Let's give 'em a fair trial and hang 'em in the morning. It makes me wonder coming from this venue, if some of the vitriol isn't just resentment for their winning of the jackpot.

An elderly Michigan resident was conned out of $295,000 virtually her life savings in a series of scams over the previous year, Police Chief Dan McDevitt said.
A network of con artists used three different types of scams to persuade the woman to mail 12 pounds of money to Europe and to wire money to Canada, McDevitt said.

Days before North Carolina launches its lottery with scratch-off ticket sales, television and radio ads are being rolled out across the state. But the publisher of one small paper in eastern North Carolina says he's not going to be taking any lottery advertising.
A scam carried out by our state government is no less a scam, wrote Bart Adams, publisher and editor of The Daily Record of Dunn, in a column last week. And ads from the North Carolina Lottery Commission which will no doubt entice

A subsidiary of MUSL, which they call WNDC (Winning Numbers Determination Committee) decides amongst themselves what the winning numbers will be, for Powerball, Megamillions, and every single-state g

It's an ancient/old saying concerning people being led down the proverbial garden path after being lured by a deceptive work of malfeasance. Response: So I got the meaning, please show me the deception or malfeasance part. And, please be clear so everyone can understand.
