Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
Just thinking that myself this morning. I can retire on Texas Lotto if I'm ever lucky enough to hit that. Odds are 26 million to 1.

Can we agree that it was not our time to win the BigOne- at least for now?
With thousands of people hoping to win it and only 10-20 jackpot winners a year, a lot of people time is never going to exist and only the ones who buy a ticket will ever have a chance of winning it regardless of the time. The reality is the odds of ever winning it are 1:175,000,000 and that's only when you buy a ticket.

I agree 100% that PA has changed for the worse in ticket design, payout, odds, etc. Prior to 2010, my wins were decent and my losses weren't that terrible. Even on a bad month, I'd only be out maybe $200 and I spent alot. Today, I get probably 20% of my money back, so almost everyday I still question why I play.

I am done buying MM & PB tickets and balls are rigged IMHO...
I disagree, your odds of winning are the same no matter how many tickets you buy. But your chances of winning increase with more bought tickets....but incrementally is miniscule

Mathematics and the Lottery
The posts by Don Catlin, BlueJay, and Epstein that were subjected to the same abuse, attacks, and belittling must be invisible because I only saw where mathhead simply explained to msharkey2001 why getting 4.1 million to 1 odds in 82.38% of the drawings is the same as getting 5 million to 1 odds in 100% of the drawings. Those of us who have no disagreement with what mathhead's comments didn't respond and msharkey2001 simply thanked them for the information. I hope, for your sake, that when t

I used to not play $20 tickets until i started looking at the odds. I still play the small games but I don't win often when I do the amounts are small. I have got $500 on a $2 ticket. But all of my $250 or more wins have been on $10 $20 tickets. I am still looking for my $1000+ win! I spend about $200 a month or more. I need to come up with a system.

Oh no. Here we go again. I guess we forget that the ODDS are mostly against us to win anything in lottery to begin with.

Take5 NY
Watch out for a double repeater. And there should be MORE evens then odds. Could even be 4even and 1odd.

Texas: 5/1 - 5/31/2013
Lady that isn't something not to be expected either. Only the 4 and 5 are not in the Pre-Test so the odds of all digits being in the Pre-Test is high. In fact, tonight I think all digits will be in the Pre-Test and not only can you eliminate the 4 and 5 you can eliminate the 8 and 9 probably.
