Who would you tell first and why?
The 'tell the lawyers' part might be my most stressful moment. I don't have a trusted attorney. I would be anxious to get everything started so I'm not sure how thorough I would be in vetting my choice for lawyer. First you need to beat astronomical odds and hit the numbers and then you need to get lucky and get a lawyer who is both ethical and competent. We've all seen too many stories of rich people being screwed over by their attorneys, managers and financial guys.

My Pick 4 Wins
Hi Jon,
How do you figure the odds on the remaining cards. I took and put the numbers in a spreadsheet and just pasted the forumlas to get a rough estimate of the numbers. It is all a rough estimate and was too lazy to take and add up all the 'winning cards' and subtract them from the total. Main point is, once the game starts and people start claiming prizes - the odds change. To get the exact number - we would need to know how many original scratchers are still in cirucation.
Hmmm. I h

Florida's Billion Dollar Blockbuster
The FL excuse is complete bs. They knew that the odd were too good and will not be able to earn enough profit due to the pay outs. I bet someone got fired after the game was release with such nice odds.

$350 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars
$10 million is a lot of money but would you buy a $2 ticket for a 10 million dollar jackpot if the odds were 1 in 176 million? I know I sure wouldn't.

$350 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars
I think they do have a bit of an edge. If they've won before, it's easy for them to win. I pretty much guarantee that someday in the near future we will see a big 2X MM or PB winner. The odds would be uhh I dunno, 1 in 500 trillion for that to happen. Maybe the Hispanic guy from Jersey will buy tickets win again. lol

if you had the power to change certain things to the MM/ PB jackpots- what would they be?
In Europe you can bet on any event. The bookies just take the money and compute the odds. The MM/PB to be trust worthy should not be the ones conducting the drawings. An independent entity, devoid of any relationships with the lottery, should be conducting the drawings. If they do that then the MM/PB will be 100% fair and square.

Ohio Classic Lotto (6/49) at $16.6M/$8.3M cash
In spite of PB $270M/175.8 jackpot and MM $170M/126.7 jackpot OCL jackpot of $35M/17.5 with odds of 1:14M of being won is still looking attractive to me. I'll be putting my $10 on it tonight.

New Tri-State lottery game debuting Sunday
I've been waiting for a pick-5 game here in Vermont for a while now. Tri-State has been so obsessed with dual-matrix and/or $2 games that I'm glad they've decided to keep it simple and inexpensive at $1.
I love the $2 match 2 prize. It beats the heck out of the Free Play prize that New York offers with Take Five at the same odds. While Mass Cash and CT Cash 5 offer better overall odds of hitting $100K (and allow for multiple $100K winners), I think Tri-State made a good call by making the mat
