737's journey is showing something regarding triples. Thank you for keeping a watchful eye! I read it somewhere 3 odds equals a triple, also.

Straight in WC 2
You folks see Payday's done? Think I played the game once.
The WCLC is bringing out a Lotto Max just for us people in WC.
A 2 million $ pot every Friday with 7 bonus draws of a million.
I rarely play Lotto Max as it is. They say the odds are 1 in 21 million but really the odds are 1 in 83 million.
They lower the odds as you get 3 plays for 5$.
Now if Western Lotto Max was 2$ I think I'd play a set of my own for awhile.
5$ just isn't worth it.

paying taxes on a $1,000 scratch-off
Thank you! Yeah, it is $600 and over and is on the Federal level. In Pennsylvania, our lottery benefits its senior citizens. There is a bill introduced to privatize the PA lottery and, I believe, it is just a matter of a few days whether it will go into effect, no less to a British company. A bit scary. We'll see how odds change on the scratch-offs if it is privatized. Will we be benefiting the Queen?

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Stack47,
Finally! You are admitting to the reality of the situation. OK, since we apparently agree that selecting a 28 number subset from which to select your tickets does not guarantee a win, I assume we must, by necessity, agree that there is a certain amount of UNCERTAINTY associated with your methods. And I'm sure you are aware that probability values of zero through one are, in one sense, measures of uncertainty.
Those of us who rely on traditional probability theory, the same theory

Winning Lottery is so freaking hard
Thanks I appreciate it. I don't play PB or MM. I'm in NY and I play Sweet Million. Because that is all I need and odds of winning are 1 in 3.8 million. which is much better than some of the crazy ones. In SM you chose 6 numbers out of 40. unlike in PB or MM where you have to choose 6 out of 40 etc

Kansas couple claims $9.43M Hot Lotto jackpot
I like that they will be advertising the after tax cash amount on JP winnings. Not sure I'm for the new number matrix. I like that it's currently a 5/39 + 1/19 game now. On the other hand the overall odds are only going from 1:16 to 1:17 which seems minimal for adding the extra white balls, also they didn't say if the cost per ticket will increase or not.

scratch tickets by state
After completing scratch-off EV analysis for some 10 states, the best out of those ten was CT and the worst was NJ. For CT, the expected value for the $20 tickets were over $16, whereas most other states was hard to find an EV of $15 or better. Illinois also has good tickets because their odds are lower than most states. This kind of data analysis for scratch-offs in AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, NJ, and PA can be found on my site in my profile.

Down to your last $2 available for lottery purposes - what would you do with it?
I will use it for PAIRS, FRONT/BACK. Of course you have to time your bet and be patient. They have the greatest odds as you choose only from 0-9.
