Do some number combinations have better odds?
If good sense and reason were a dictate, Boney would have an interest in this approach as he only plays for extreme jackpots and on the night PB was $588 million my selections would have given him BETTER ODDS.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Jimmy already explained the effect of standard deviation on probability using his handy dandy Monte Carlo simulation. He will say you just benefited by a better than expected STD and then hypocritically say it's impossible for any number combination to have better odds.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Ronnie316, ...does that mean anything at all to you.........????????? Yes, definitely! It means that ...in a short term trial all players posted better than average wins (except Boney)... Your understanding might be improving a little. I'm encouraged to see you used the word wins above and not odds, since wins and losses will vary, but odds are constant, and determined by the rules of the game. --Jimmy4164

Stunned & in disbelief over last night's Powerball drawing
MUSL officials must have tossed champagne late last night when nobody won. They must be worried sick what inclusion of California and its lottery-mad players will do to PB lol. Maybe they will hike the odds of hitting the JP to 1:200,000,000 just to slow down Californians from trying to dominate this one too.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
50%? You have sold me short Jimmy. Using 28 numbers has a 2.6% success rate, but because I can get 5 times BETTER ODDS with my extreme predictive abilities the 5 of 5 match will occur around every 8 draws.

North Carolina: 1/1 - 1/31/2013
To clarify...The lottery NEVER loses...lets get that straight. The odds are stacked against US no matter what. They win even when they have paid out millions (AND IT'S RARE THAT THEY PAY OUT MILLIONS IN NC)...lol.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Yes, you're right! Since a full wheel of 12 numbers would have 792 combinations, the chart has to be adjusted for that many combinations. combination size 5 basic pool size 56 (B) bonus numbers none smallest match 0 tickets or chances per draw 792 possible combos of 5/56 numbers = 3819816 MATCH ODDS WINNING COMBOS ODDS 792 CHANCES 5/5 1 : 3819816 1 1 : 4823 4/5 1 : 14980 255 1 : 19 3/5 1 : 300 12750 3 : 1 2/5 1 : 18 208250 43 : 1 1/5 1 : 3 1249500 259 : 1 0

Texas All or Nothing
Welcome to the site. I am pretty new here myself. I have no systems for any of the drawings but play ALL of them most weeks (pk3 day4 the most). I try to use a little common sense , pay attention to what comes out, listen to others, and pray for some good luck. I do not study the results like some in here do but I would not recommend doing what you suggest. It appears to me that the odd and even is pretty evenly divided most every draw and the high low numbers are pretty well evenly divided each

Yeah Long Odds, and the MID was close because I got 1953 on a Quick Pick, and the result was 1952. I put in the 0034 again for EVE today just in case. GL!
