Should the United States Governemt Tax Lottery Winnings?
the ire should be directed at the government and career politicians and not individuals who put down a $1 or $2 wager and managed to beat astronomical odds. Besides, it doesn't matter how much in taxes the government collects, they'll find a way to waste it. Google, solyndra loan for a recent example of government waste.

USA MM test run of various pick methods
Yes, 18 numbers and 1-3 MB. We could fix it to 3 MB's to be comparable among participants but the odds comparison will really show against the main field 5/56. I'll post 3 MBs anyway.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Better to opt for 18 numbers, with 19 numbers the odds are 2 matches come more often than 1 match. Going below 18 numbers will probably make even hitting 3 correct rather difficult.

JoeyD New York charts
I think Joey is excellent at both games although I only play the pick 3 every now and then, but I been watching him on both games and he really seems to know what he is doing. I hear you about the odds but that is the chance we all take, it's gambling ;) keep up the great work Joey!!!!!! As well as TJ and all the other on the Dream Team etc etc ;)))))) gl everyone

What are some of the best quotes that you have read about playing the lottery?
I would say I've heard of more groups of people winning the lottery than individuals. It would seem that pooling resources and purchasing a large number of tickets improves the odds of winning. Either that or it's all just coincidence. By Elitist.

What are some of the best quotes that you have read about playing the lottery?
The more tickets you have, the more chances you have to win, but each ticket has the same odds regardless of the total number of tickets you have. By Dahal

How many hits you need?
Your welcome chrissy16, no big strategy. Just play the same numbers all the time for fun and wait to see if they come in. You have better odds of hitting on the smaller JP games. So I hope you hit some decent wins.

Could We Use Another Big Game Lottery??
It's like a Pumpi thread, but with a cast of characters that's only slightly less insane.
If you're looking to start a lottery game to rival the two big ones in terms of jackpot size, I'm not sure the market can support a third big game. You'd probably be better off with a game with smaller jackpots (say, a million dollars) but better odds (say, a 5/35 or 5/39 matrix). If you can show that multiple jackpots can be won with every drawing, you just might get a popular game.
You would have

Post your scratch ticket results
We are making assumptions that a pack is dead when a $1k ticket was bought. Or this a fact? No one knows for sure, right? We are just making educated guesses because the odds would be against the pack containing another big winner. Unless you have access to past jackpot winners, where, which pack, how much, what #,etc... I'm hoping that its truly random.

Post your scratch ticket results
I'm not too fond of tickets with prizes. 1.odds don't seem to favor the player because of paying the rights to that brand. 2.paying taxes on the ratail amount on that prize.( I have to come up with that cash somewhow). My experience tells me that chasing the next $5 ticket probably would be disapointing. Good Luck.
