$550 MILLION: Mega Millions holiday bonanza!
The causal player can care less about the odds. It's not like PB's odds are a cream puff either. When I play MM, I would like to hit the jackpot, but I am more so treating this as a 5/75 game aiming for the $1 milllion dollar 2nd prize. Even with the Gold Money ball not included, the odds are still 1 in 17,259,390

Mega Millions Odds
I don't really care for the changes to Mega Millions. They already have astronomical odds of winning and to decrease the odds seems like a money grab. They know the higher the jackpot is the more people will spend on lottery tickets. It's like moving the goal posts 15 yards back on a team trying to score a field goal to win a game. (Not the best analogy but a lot of truth to it.) My opinion is that it will break the record and reach the 1 Billion dollar mark and everyone will get in a frenzy buy

Just bought MM quickpick, not knowing odds got even more absurd
Looked at my quickpick and saw large numbers and thought their was a computer error. I haven't bought MM in a while so I didn't know the numbers changed. What are they thinking? The odds were already absurd - 1 in 175 million. Impossible but within the realm of enjoying a brief dream for fun once in a while. But now the odds are an amazing 1 in 256,000,000. Wow that's not even worth dreaming about.
Even the 2nd prize odds have worsened to 1 in 25,000,000.
My Texas state lotto has a game th

Well ..... they did it again .... repeated the same sum again ... back to back again... sum 18 ... if anybody knows how to use filters and use odds and probabitly , you konw crazy things happen or things with very low odds happen, but this week or so has been like a circus of oddities. ... i think I'll stop wasting my time, since I actually use the odds and probability to pick my numbers everyday .....

$257 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot expands
No it isn't when you consider its overall odds of winning something. I've played it twice buying a $5 ticket each time and won something both times. Granted, the first time I won $1 and last night I won $2 but there are games with better odds of winning the jackpot that I've spend $10 on and won nothing.
I think it's the overall odds of winning something that going to keep players interested inspite of the odds being unlikely that they will ever win the jackpot.
