Louisiana Lottery celebrates 20 years of winning numbers
Millionaire Bonus Raffle coming in February
After being approved by voters by a seven-to-three margin in 1990 and subsequently launching its first scratch-off game in 1991, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2011 with a host of player promotions and games.
For 20 years, we have been generating winning numbers that give Louisianans plenty of reasons to smile, including over $2.3 billion contributed to our state, more than $3 billion paid to winners an

Arkansas Lottery will add raffle games to lineup
The Arkansas Lottery Commission voted yesterday to authorize the introduction of raffle games during the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
The lottery plans to hold two raffles during the fiscal year, the first of which will launch in July or August, Lottery Director Ernie Passailaigue said.
Passailaigue said the games will be similar to raffles held by civic clubs. The lottery will have a set number of tickets printed, each with a unique number, and the winning numbers will be selected in a drawing,

Idaho Lottery raffle made a millionaire tonight
Just to put in perspective I bought 2 tickets at two different stores, and the time lapse between them was 10 minutes, 45 seconds or 645 seconds. A total of 191 tickets were sold between the two times at a rate of a ticket every 3.3 seconds. One ticket was within 4 of a winning $50, and the other was within 7 of winning $100. So I was off by about 13 seconds on first ticket , and off about 23 seconds on the second ticket of being in the right place at the right time. None of my tickets were real

Ohio New Years Raffle Starts November 20th!
Just one week and two days before the drawing! I just called the Ohio Lottery and they said as of last night that 219,972 have been sold, so there is still 280,028 available. It will be interesting to see if they sell out.
Also, I started saving $20 again as of this payday for next year and as long as I continue to save $20 per payday (which I plan on doing) then I'll have $520.00 saved for next years raffle and I can purchase 26 tickets by this time next year.
It's something everyone may

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
I live in Maryland but work in Virginia and actually commute through DC (long story), so I sometimes buy tickets from VA and rarely from DC. I have bought four VA Raffle tickets so far and agree that sales are very slow. They will pick up, but this could be the year they extend the deadline and drawing as they indicate they can.
My feeling is that you get a decent chance to win something and probably the best odds possible to win a million. Granted I have been zero for the last several raffl

Michigan lottery players are the big winners
They can say they are paying out more but my experience has been that there have been fewer prizes. Right around 1994 is when it got harder to win on scratch offs. It is now exceedingly rare that I buy a scratcher...maybe 2 per year. As far as the raffles go, I have been in every one of them and I still have been shut out.
The only online games that have totally shut me out here so far are Zinger, Change Play, that weird online card game years ago and raffle.
As far as the Raffle goe

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
They've finally sold over 50,000 tickets as of today, but if raffle sales are this bad down here, I wonder how they're doing elsewhere in the country. You have a 1:492 chance of winning anything at all with ours, and a 1:29,412 chance of winning at least $5,000 or more.
When you look at it from a matter of fact perspective instead of focusing on the odds, you're hoping that your ticket will be one of the 2,034 winning tickets...out of the 1,000,000 tickets available. I can understand why peop

Florida Lottery Raffle drawing crowns 7 new millionaires
Normally if the lottery produces raffle results with a leading zero, I try to build-in the feature to show the results both with an without the leading zero.
The problem is that because I cannot physically inspect every state's raffle tickets to see how they are printed, I am at the mercy of whatever the lottery publishes. Therefore, I try to allow both ways of viewing the results, knowing that one way or the other is correct.
Hopefully you'll change your mind about viewing lottery result
