I personally like Lucky5of5's advice. The IL Lottery posts an updated weekly count on a pdf document how many prizes are left per scratch-off game and I like to buy the ones which have more prizes remaining. Its just a matter of odds. In regards of how many to buy, I try to buy at least 3, 4 or 5 at a time in a row depending on the cost of the tickets.

What can you really win though RJ with 200 lines? I would spend the $200. per draw myself and split with you if I thought we had a reasonable chance. But the stated lottery odds of winning even $10,000. playing 200 lines per draw are about 1 in 3445 draws.

Do you know what a normal distribution is? It's a statiscal test to determine whether something outside of expectation is happening. It's not something I just made up. If you found that the statistics don't match a normal distribution, then you could be reasonably confident that there's a non random element happening. But there simply haven't been enough draws to create such a test with reasonable confidence levels. Give the Mega Millions about 25000 and you could be 99% sure whether it

Upon doing a little math, I found that there were about 3.5 million ticket sales. This means that I significantly underestimated the odds of sharing the JP. Assuming around a 20% chance of sharing, the EV would for the next draw is about 64.35 cents on the dollar.

My Approach to 6/49 - Too many filters?Reply
Many area have 6/49 games like my own state of Ohio with Classic Lotto. If more general terms and definitions were used to describe how the game is being analyzed, perhaps more players could apply them to their local game to see if all 6/49 games have commonalities that could be useful toward improving their odds or winning.
