$356 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record
$356 million and you are going to act like you did before? LOL!! Yeah Ok. If you did you may as well stop playing. That kind of money can destroy rational thinking. But odds are you won't be finding out anyway.

$356 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record
Your odds do not change drastically whether you buy 1, 100 or 1000 tickets. Buy a few from different places this will likely get you more results.

FL scratch off - List of prizes claimed.
lol !! sorry I meant 42 claimed ..22 was a typo. I will be visiting FL end of April. The last time I visited FL was close to 20 years back in 1993 when I had no clue about lotteries. During this visit I want to fully utilize my visit to grab aa few FL scratchers as it has the best odds among 50 states. I am from CA and the most I have hit is $40.

$356 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record
Some states list that info on their websites, but I can give you a pretty good estimate without checking. For starters we already know that a lot of people play lucky numbers, and for a lot of people that means significant dates. Then there's the math. According to lottorreport, com the last two drawings sold 78,423,325 and 111,282,952 tickets. The odds of winning the 2nd prize are 1 in 3,904,701, so dividing sales by odds tells us that we would have had 20 and 28.5 winners if all the tickets

$290 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls again
My brother James thinks it's always someone in Los Angeles wins the Mega Millions jackpot. He always says this when the jackpot gets Big time high. And I tell him the odds are always the same no matter where you buy your lottery tickets.I'd like to see this Mega Millions game rollover a few more times, taking it to an all time high of $400 million mark. And only one ticket winning it.Wow!.

So if a young, single guy in So Cal wins the MM jackpot?
Excuse me but I thought this was the Lottery Post....not a singles forum, lol. Let me just say this.....worry about these things when you win. And with odds of 1 : 175,711,536 I'd be investing in a helmut at the moment because you're sure to be hit by lightning first.

The Shotgun Playing Method To Winning A Lottery Jackpot.
Since my chances will increase but not my odds... I think I will stay with my 2 tickets for MM... for me... behaving like a wildwoman gone insane only means its Wednesday.

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
Sure the math sounds right Floyd, but in the grand scheme of lotto it's just hype. Everyday people beat 100 to 1 odds in Pick 3 and 10,000 to 1 odds in Pick 4. So since you've whittled down Mega Millioins to 10 to 1 (once upon a time) where are the payouts? Reversing the 17,500,000 tickets we could cut it down Pick 3 or Pick 4 odds, oh where oh where can the jackpots be? Here's some more dazzling math for you, from an old Abbott and Costello routine. You are 40 and your niece is 10. You

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
The biggest increase in odds by far is going from having 0 tickets to 1 ticket, because you come out of the realm of impossibility to possibility. So I try to buy at least $1 in each game for every draw so I always have a chance.
