Idaho's biggest lottery winner knew he would win
There were 602907 prize winning tickets in the last drawing. The odds of winning something are 3.14%. So you can estimate that the total sales were somewhere around 19.2 million tickets. Of the winning tickets 18.8% were power play tickets. Applying that ratio to the estimated total tickets sold puts the sales at $42 million. Don't know how this matches up with reality but the law of large numbers says it should be close.

Is 50 Million Dollars Not Enough??
How can your odds of winning be better if the playership is very low at lower jackpot levels than at $100 millions level.Your chances of winning are better at jackpot levels above $100 millions because there is more combinations in play or higher playership.

Ok....just grabbed my deck of cards. Shuffled the deck then flipped over 3 cards. They came off 453. Then I shuffled again. Cut the deck. Then flipped over 3 cards. They came off 453. What are the odds? I think I will play those numbers for the evening draw.

Baby steps in Scratch Offs
Okay, I got the 50,000 piece but how does it work when they are giving away so many $3 --- like 284 thousand something - is it out of the same 480,000 because the odds are different now.

New York Instant Scratch Off's fixed?
I personally don't like scratchcards. At least with lottery the more tickets you buy, the odds gets better proportionately. In scratchcards, I don't even know if the jackpot is out or not.

Play your numbers and pray. That's what I do....lol. I do stay away from trips. I don't like the odds of three numbers that are the same hitting the board. I would rather invest my money into other numbers. But...do what you feel is the best for you. I just want us all to win. So let's win people!!!!!

Baby steps in Scratch Offs
If I understand you correctly those odds mean exactly what is stated. On average If you buy 3.2 tickets one ticket will be a winner, it may be $1.00, $100.00, or even the top prize of $50,000.00 no gaurantees on what you'll win but one ticket should win on average. Now for the top prize. On average, one ticket in every 480,000 sold will be a top prize winner $50,000. I hope this helps.
