$200 MILLION: New Powerball delivers huge lottery jackpot
I dont know if we are going to see record jackpots or not, the old powerball had greater odds of winning then mega, yet mega has the highest jackpot between the two. I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere Powerball used to cap the jackpot increases once it got to a record amount. Do they still do this?

Powerball at $2.00 - What jackpot level do you start playing?
Previously I usually played either MegaMillions or Powerball, but not both and only provided the cash value was at least $50 million. Since the PB went to $2, I'll probably only play when the cash value reaches at least $150 million and keep the MM figure at $50 million. In weeks that neither MM or PB reach those levels, I'll throw my money at the state lotto instead. I don't see the value of adding the power play since I get better odds with spending the extra dollar on the state lotto.

$200 MILLION: New Powerball delivers huge lottery jackpot
I DO PLAN to WIN the Powerball.I only play when its over 100 million dollars.I can't afford to throw $2 at it twice a week when its a smaller jackpot. It has to do with simple economics.$2 is two freaking much to pay twice a week.If they would have made the odds twice as good I wouldn't mind paying $2 for a ticket, but they didn't.GET IT NOW?

Would you buy a $100 scratch ticket?
Yes Ill buy them but they wont ever have $100 scrathers with GOOD (1 in 2) odds because clerks would buy them and there would be many poachers by the machine who jump on the next ticket if they see 2 losers in a row

any 2 million powerball winner 5 + 0 (pp) since change?
Also, don't forget that NO BALLS were removed from the match 5 pool. So the odds of getting 5/6 remains the same as years past. I'm sure PB tought of this when they did the change to maximize profits for THEM, not US

Sweet Millions buy 5 get 3 free for January!!
This game is pointless. They say the odds are better,BS. Ten drawings with only 1 winner. Second only pays 500$.With 6 of 6 numbers you can win more in the NYLotto. They should turn it into a raffle with guaranteed winners every draw.

Do you REALLY expect to win?
I have always believed that I would win a major prize in the lottery. So that is what makes me play as much as possible. But if I never win I will not be down about it because I know the odds are high. But I think I am do for a big win in my future and soon.-weshar75

Is it possible to tell
The even/odd totals by position are there. They just don't say EVEN/ODD. If you throw out the row and column of zeroes you have 2 odds possible in the front position and 1 even. In the back you have 5 possible odds vs 4 evens. Odd numbers win on sheer possibilities. We did front position pairs, front position trips, even front position quads with every possible digit combination for Cash5 and compared it to Texas Cash 5 last year. The only things learned was 1) programming it was a nig

How much have you won the most from a scratch-off ticket?
I hit a $1000 on a 3 dollar bingo ticket in South Carolina in 2005.I was curious and looked at the odds and it was 1 in 40,000.I hope that all of us have yet to see our biggest win.

Hoosier Lotto
I don't think it's so high because it uses an RNG. Even if 2 million tickets are sold, that's still only 16.3% of all possible combinations. That's also not taking into account that 2 million tickets sold probably isn't actually 16.3% because there will also be duplicates of the same combination sold. I think when it got to over $50M a few years ago, it might have barely made it over a million tickets sold. Mathematically speaking, the odds are that the jackpot will roll.
