Ask for a Fat one!
A 5/75 game with 30 bonus numbers has 517,781,700 combinations. The odds of matching 5 numbers without the bonus numbers is 17,259,390 to 1. Scratch-offs have already passed the $5 per ticket average and the current trend seems to be $2 a ticket online games. I doubt well ever see a quarter game.

The larger the state...worse odds?
I am in CA too and started playing scratchers a few months back. Max I have won is $30 and a free $5 ticket' a couple of times.. I have noticed a majority of winners are located in urban cities like LA, SD and SFO. Not really sure of the odds ..

Vermont Lottery offers new self-service machines
Makes sense for the lottery to force the multiplier option on people. Any option that a lottery offers is because the odds are in their favor.

Powerball Changes
Also the $2 per board just started today so the extra money will not start going the the jackpot until after the Wedsday's drawing. That amount will depend on the number of tickets sold which I suspect will be lower than normal with the new price. I know my usually $20 in ticket sales won't be included, I may buy 20 lines of Ohio Classic Lotto instead. It's jackpot is only $2.6M but with odds of winning it of 1:14M, I get 20 chances to win it for $20.

Kansas: 1/1 - 1/31/2012
playing on paper is always good when trying something new, i usually pick 5 pairs from each group and play with the key digits, that make 60 combinations and usually good odds of getting a hit

North Carolina: 1/1 - 1/31/2012
If you would have played would you have broke even or just a win on paper ? It is about compressing the odds . All else anyone of us can do , but thank you for posting . If you have nailed the 655 or been closer in your selections I could agree with you . Throwing me 50 + numbers only give me something to go by not to play , next time if you will post before the draw Partner .

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
There is nothing you can do about it was also part of the post. As far as an answer, what difference do you think it makes? Where is your proof? Just because you can't beat the lottery doesn't make it true. You just can't beat the odds.

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
How can anyone say hitting the powerball is easier?...Gonna cost you double and just the same odds..Bigger jackpot but still is hard to hit..No matter how you cut it you'll still need tons of luck...

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
This was the same BS reason Powerball gave last time they rigged the game more in their favor and against the players. The hoopla to adding more states and increasing the odds for Powerball was that more people would be in the game and the jackpots would get up to $200Million+ more often....possibly even $500 Million. Now it seems that the jackpots don't reach $200 Million LESS OFTEN..So people are buying less tickets now they want people to pay more for the tickets. I think I've reached my limi

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
From a markeying standpoint, you're right Todd, but I lok at any 5 + 1 (or any +1 game) as two lotteries, the top or first matrix and the bonus number matrix. In a field of 35 numbers one number is drawn making it 1 in 35 or 34:1. In the the OP it didn't say anything at all about getting better than just the Powerball, it simply said the changes were the Powerball being drawn from 35 numbers instead of 39, and the odds posted in the chart as 1 in 56. The same chart shows 1 + 1 as 1in 111, so
