NY Scratch-off Discussion
I bought the $10 NY Triple Million (goldish green)) many losers over a few weeks, but finally I won $600! It was #12...I matched the number 24 for $300 and then a coin for another $300....for a total on one ticket $600. I cashed it and paid no tax because it was $600 or under! Yay. The odds on $600 is 1 in 1,680 not too bad for that $10 ticket

Mathematics and the Lottery
Oh ok, I misread what you were saying. I thought you were trying to say that you shouldn't continue to bet on heads because the odds of it coming are then 1 in 64, which isn't true.

New York: 9/1 - 9/30/2011
Georgia got the 669! OH WELL, story of my life. The thing is, I never post All States because I personally believe that to post 40 or more numbers All States (41 CHANCES X 40 or more!!!) is ridiculous as the odds/chances of one hitting is HUGE and that does not make someone a good predictor. You might as well post all 120 singles and 90 doubles.

Gold Rush Tripler
Funny you brought this up! I noticed the same thing...The odds are worse on the $500 and I was surprised they advertised it that way

Wheel of Fortune- 2nd Chance Promo- Florida
I just compared the overall on the Illinois and florida version of wheel of fortune very close in odds Florida is 1 in 4.03 of winning Illinois is 1 in 4.02 of winning... Sounds like a rip off all across the usa.......

I Love New York September
No play for me this midday. Been running around with doctors appts. and just finished fixing some odds and ends here at home. I feel when there are things that just get in your way of trying to play, just take it as an omen and let it go. I'll be in for evening until then good luck to all!

If you are Illegal and play lottery shouldn't they learn the rules on collection
I'm more pissed off at people who HIRE them for cheap labor instead of hiring a tax paying citizen who actually needs a job. The last of my concerns is whether an illegal alien is going to win something with huge odds as the lottery. I'm more concerned with illegal aliens and crime or illegal aliens and cheap labor. BTW a lot of bad English in this thread. Just an observation.

Canadian couple claims $40M Lotto Max jackpot
Lotto 649 offers better odds. The jackpot is smaller but I would rather have a better chance of winning $3,000,000 or more, than to have a poor chance of winning $20,000,000 or more. So I agree that it's a good idea to wait for Lotto MAX to get to $50,000,000 before playing.

If you could match all 6 numbers within 24 numbers would this be the best wheel?
Even if you have all six numbers in a field of 24, your odds of having all six in one line are 1:134,596 and having 5 of them in one line are 1:1,246 so it's going to be a large wheel that guarantees even a match5.
