Yeah, well, for the past 10 draws I have been throwing my money away on all odds. Pretty soon I WILL be out in the cold.

$750,000 Winner - Jingle Jumbo Bucks - 2010
He was overreacting to you, CarHauler. Most everyone who plays complains about the lottery. The odds seem worse because they put some rolls out with more winners so they can even it out - but there are a lot of bad rolls. The lottery is slanted badly. The best way to get back at them if you are mad (and I'm still in a losing streak) is to not play. Sometimes I do not play.

Winning at NY Take 5
The experts all say... Play a balanced game, you know, 3 odds and 2 evens, or 2 odds and 3 evens.
That made sense to me because out of a total of 575,757 five number combinations, 194,940 of them have a 3/2 odd/even split. That's approximately 34% of the total number of possible combo's.
Why is it then, that in the last 60 Take5 drawings, a 3/2 odd/even split has occured only 11 times? (18.3%) Not only that, there has not been a 3/2 odd/even split in 17 straight drawings.
I go with the

Winning at NY Take 5
wow that really narrows the odds down for a Jackpot - LOL!!!! And since you I have mentioned the 1,2,3,4,5 you know one is gonna show soon. There are what 35 sets of sequence #'s(right?). So 1 out of 35 chance, not bad, now just have to time it right to when a seq. set is gonna hit!

Ohio Classic Lotto jackpot looking good again
Good luck to you, I'll be playing again next Monday if nobody has won by then. While OCL has better odds of winning the jackpot I do better winning smaller prizes playing PB so I'm putting my money on PB tonight.

Shop owner sells himself winning lottery ticket
Now, how lucky can he be? His ship came into port and he was smart enough to get on board with no regrets. When he played, I'm sure he hadn't anticipated he'd be the million dollar winner -- with so many customers coming in and out of his establishment. Gee, what are the odds? Who knows, perhaps the $10,000 is his vacation money, or if he gambles, any Vegas casino staff would love to 'comp' him.

Using math to develop winning strategies
Johnph77, I think the state has done the math with regard to setting the odds of winning. Theoretical mathematical formulas are useful only when calculating probabilities in total. My numbers are actually physical components: They show up during Lotto and Fantasy 5 draws, not on a calculator. My formula specifies that these numbers appear regularly enough that one may use them to create a viable set of numbers to maximize their chance of matching the draw numbers.

Ohio Classic Lotto jackpot looking good again
Classic Lotto continues to grow and now that it's Monday and MM and PB aren't played today, it make a good alternative to start off the week. It's jackpot is only $14.9M but so are its odds. Its annuity amount of $300K a years isn't bad either.

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
I finally won my first free ticket in Holiday Games, #028. I was beginning to think they were not out there. I also won $25 on #059, which is technically the last ticket on the roll, but this station starts at the end of the roll. My current stats at station B are 8 out 17 tickets I have played were winners. Still about twice the expected odds. I am $70 ahead there.
