Refreshingly candid: Ga. Lottery chief discusses future game plans
If anyone ever comes up with a system to beat the odds, you'll get a chance to see how much she and other lottery officials really cares about the players. Their jobs are to get players to lose even more money.

What's with NY Sweet Million??
I finally broke my Sweet Million rut of matching only three numbers, in last night's game I matched four! I purchased it in a store that sold a multi-million NY Lottery ticket a few years back going on the theory that maybe lightening will strike twice. The ironic thing about my winning ticket is the fact that I purchased three separate tickets and offered two out of three to my mom and her boyfriend, I told them to pick any 2 out of the 3 tickets they wanted, but they had to leave ME the winnin

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
There are many players on here and elsewhere who are betting at the offshore gaming palaces where the odds pay 900 to one on a pick 3 bet with as little as a 25 cent bet.... or 9000 to one on a pick 4 bet so they can use their systems across many states and play 4 numbers for a buck or whatever their pocket book can handle, they might play the same number in every state, and so on, or play different numbers in different states.

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
I have read through this entire thread and I have some feedback. For one, RL thanks for all of your posts and attention to your theory. There are many things that I agree with...however, there are things that I believe are a little too convoluted. One thing that I have noticed is that a few of you have had the eye opening realization that the position of the numbers are important to determining a future value. A B C D E slots. I don't think that most have looked at the actual relationship that t

Common sense? Let me see it in print.
I thought it was common sense that the odds and large sales indicated someone would win based on large sales of all the combinations. After all, the odds are printed all over the place, even on the tickets. How come this common sense you have is not so common?
We were led to believe the randomness of the tickets sold was based on all the possible combinations to win. Now it is common sense that the pool is not one complete set of combinations, but over

Why Mega Millions And Powerball Have More Winners Regardless Of The Odds To Win
In new york, it is easier to win big with 1 TAKE FIVE QUICK PICK because the pool of people playing take five is larger than new york lotto and sweet million. The odds of winning don't count if you don't have enough people playing a particular lottery game. Sweet million or lotto would produce as much winners as ny take 5 if more of the total combinations to win the jackpot are played.

Need a answer A.S.A.P.?? Florida
Gold Rush is still there. It's been around for ages. They did discountinue the Gold Rush Doubler game which was a game similar to Gold Rush; however, the odds of winning $500 were worse than the original. It really depends on WHERE you buy your tickets. I know some stores don't have many of the $20 games and back when they had the $30 High Roller game I couldn't find it anywhere.

Quick Pick Or Same Set Of Numbers-Which Is Best For Increasing Your Chances To Win?
I don't think it makes a differance when you're looking for that Jackpot. I think the best way to increase your odds is playing in pool or syndicate. You may have to split the winnings, but if you do hit that jackpot, the dollar amount will still most likely be life changing!

Increased California Lottery payouts spur sales
Californians who play lottery Scratcher games have apparently noticed a new and not unwelcome change in the way some of the games are structured: They win more.
As a result, they're playing more.
Scratcher sales leaped by $55 million in June, the first month that a new law allowed lottery officials to increase the percentage of revenues returned in prize money.
Officials are confident that trend will continue. In its budget for the fiscal year that began July 1, the Lottery Commission p
