Math can tell us the number of possible outcomes and the odds of a player predicting or coming close to predicting the outcome of that event. Fact are lotteries creators use math to design lotteries to fit a particular group of players and to make sure they will make a profit.

Personally I don t like the double or the triples. And theonly reason for that it makes the pick 3 even harder to play. You not only haveto consider the possibility of 3 separate digits, but also a double. However I dobelieve the people out there that play based on doubles have a better chance.The odds of winning are in your favor.

As Ive said previously 1 in 195 million + is waaaaay good odds for the state run lotto's however for the individual it sucks bigtime...and so what you CAN win with a 1 dollar bet this kind of hypothetical doesnt transcend math wise because the CAN FACTOR doesnt equate... The powerball or any lottery for that matter are ran by the government and lottery operators as a revenue source. which means that the house has all the advantage. when it comes to lotteries in my opinion the odds don't matter at all. powerball 1 in 195 million odds to win the jackpot. someone will win, that is a fact. so don't let math fool you. most people don't win the lottery because they don't know how to play to win. whenever people buy multiple tickets the house wins because it comes out

I see you're from CA. I just analyized your games. and boy do they suck. You don't have many choices. You have MM with 1:175M odds You have Super Lotto with 1 in 41M odds. From there nothing down to fantasy 5. Compare Fantasy 5 to Illinois Little lotto. They have the same ODDS. Ill little Lotto starts at $100,000 Fantasy 5 is at 52,000 And for smaller prizes that can't even come up with a set prize? Match 2 and they can't give you cash? Match 3 in Wis and you get $2
