I'm sure a lot of people base their decision on which game to play on which jackpot is higher. Since Mega Millions is higher at the moment, and being that the odds are slightly better, it's safe to assume more people would be playing Mega Millions at the moment.

I play Keno in my state with the same strategy. All odds and all evens. Thats right. It makes it a 10 out of 40 game vs. a 10 out of 80 game. Play a mix of hot, cold and lukewarm numbers. I find followers also occurs alot too. I've gotten more 7 of 10 doing this. Problem is that it only pays a lowsy $40 bucks in NY.

There's nothing really out of the ordinary in this. People are snowed in. Mega Millions has better odds and is currently higher. A lot of stuff comes into play. The one thing that should always be considered: the jackpot advertised is an estimate, it's not an exact amount. Always remember that.

The odds of winning both lotteries is astronomical, but if I won both of course I'd keep the money. Why would I have played both if I didn't want to keep the money. My son and I have a Mega Million Subscription and will probably get one for Powerball.

1 out of 45 tickets won something, and the odds say 1 in 40 should win something. So it is off, but not by a whole lot. There's probably been plenty of draswings where better than 1 in 40 won something, so it'll all average out in the end.

I have my own system of wheeling p4 numbers (I wheel 6 of them) by picking more hot and lukewarm and only one cold number. I almost always get 3 out of 4, which is nothing cause no money is won, but its closer then when I pick random numbers. So I think my odds of winning go up using my little system.

It seems to me that you left out the most obvious and sensible choice: play whichever one has a bigger jackpot. If they're both really big I might play them both, but for the most part I'll just choose the bigger jackpot, though I'll probably also figure the odds into the decision. I'm roughly 10% more likely to win MM, so unless PB is at least 10% more there's no sensible reason to choose PB over MM.
