Your State Now Having Both Powerball And Mega Millions
I live on a border, and have always had the option of playing either or both. I'm about 8 miles from the border. I play them based on their cash expectation value, meaning I tend to play less Powerball because the odds are longer and the cash/annuity ratio is much lower. I play powerball when it's over 50M annuity, and Megamillions when it's over $35M annuity. I will continue to do the same. I hope that both games will continue and that any national game will be an additional game. I

Perspectives
That certainly gives me a visual of how awful the odds are. I don't think that 1 grain of red sand will even be visible among the other millions of grains.

Things that make you go HMMMMM
Thats what i think. If 3-4 ALWAYS get 5 numbers on a bonus game with 49 numbers, then why wouldnt that same amount get the jackpot in the Fantasy five non bonus game of 39 unless its manipulated at the last minute somehow. Odds are bad enough without a thumb on the scale as they say.

Things that make you go HMMMMM
If I could play the Cash 5(1-34) here in VA, which has a $100,000 top prize...I am sure I could win frequently...I had a set of numbers I wheeled and didn't play ofcourse coz no extra money...but one of my numbers came up...I was upset. C5 is played 2wice a day 7 days a week...the odds are on your side for sure if you know what you are doing.

The Difference between Chances / Probability and Odds
Someone is always bringing up the different definitions of odds, chances and probability or definitions of randomly picked, quick picked or auto picked but regardless of their definitions, knowing them don't help you win a lottery.

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
Not all lottery games use Ping Pong balls, some lottery games use computers as the RNG. Google for Ron Harris, an employee who worked for Nevada Gaming Commission, he developed a program to increase his odds in predicting the next Keno game by using the past draw. He and a friend went to Atlantic City, used the program and hit the $100,000 jackpot. They were caught and he spent time in Nevada prison. They did not hit the first time, all the program did was dramatically increase your odds. So if

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
The Idea of buying more tickets to Increase your odds of winning is in my estimation a System; it is the system of spending more money to get more money. So you are not just relying on dumb luck to win, If you did not believe in any system at all you would buy just one ticket, But to those who stubbornly refuse to accept that a system can help unluck... I mean help unlock the door to a win, no amount of showing will help. Play on and win!!

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
Guru101, I agree with you on every point except the point of randomness, none the less, it does not matter; what matter is that you do have a system thereby increasing your Odds!

Gotta love the Michigan Lotto!! LOLOLOL.
The way I see it they had a choice.....take a chance and play to win or they could have chose not to play. Anyone who plays the lotto knows the odds are against them. In this case they chose to play anyway. I think that most people play in pools because they're afraid that if the pool wins they don't want to be left behind. It would have been nice if you did get a win!
