don't need to be a pooper or whatever..and maybe I just don't understand it (which is HIGHLY LIKELY)...but those tables and puzzles have every number in them except for 1 of the 0-9 digits ....so, the way I see it, the odds of the 8 other numbers coming up with a combo that wins isn't that difficult....what am I missing here? I guess you could think of every combination of those numbers..but that would be quite expensive and more than you would win I would think...again. what am I missing?

Michigan scratchers.
Okay, a few more, some of these are new. For $1 -Get 50: (new) Same prize amounts as quick 50, but these ones are not as common as the other and have a few more 50 dollar prizes. Also, instead of getting 3 like prize amounts, you have to match one prize amount with 4 others (of course if you see a 50, you get that automatically). I like it better, but haven't won anything good off them (then again, I only bought 1) -Uno Dos Scratch: Probably the best 1 dollar scratcher, though a few mon

Calculating a percentage
Not really. Knowing which number is drawn first isn't going to have any effect when the order of drawn numbers isn't of importance. To continue with the 5/56 example let us assume (yeah, I know the joke) that a number you didn't select was drawn first. The odds of your number being drawn on the very next ball draw have now been reduced from 1::56 to 1::55. But that's also true for any other undrawn number. What has been done, though, is to change the matrix for the remaining balls from a 5/56

What do you prefer
I am getting very tired off scratch offs, especially since they are all predetermined and I never win more than 5 bucks off of them, but my vote goes for pick 3. Yes, the odds are the best, but still not that good, and you only get a measly 500. Give me pick 4 or pick 5 any day.

The lottery machine is more random than the ball drawing...
Every ticket may be a potential winner but the odds were way against that ticket. I bought it very spur of the moment. I dislike QP's and I don't usually buy them. LOL I got caught up in all the buzz about the 220 MILLON ! I did see the number 9 hit.....haha I told my friend at work I start my new route on the 9th cause that number is special (it's really just the beginning of the new pay period) so he was gonna play the number 9!

to win: is it dumb luck or does planning work
I would say luck but that doesn't mean you can't improve your odds by playing different systems. All it takes is one time to be lucky while playing your system and you're set for life.

probability (which I learned in Finite Math eons ago) just like rolling die only the odds are much greater. Luck to me is throwing a basketball 90 feet and having it go in - but then again that could also be probability

Dateline NBC, Sunday May 3, Lottery clerks Who Cheat Players
I expect it will be as much warning as sending somebody to jail for any other crime. A few dishonest clerks will think they can get away with it, and odds are they'll be right.

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
I'm just going with the odds, in the last 400 drawings since the last matrix change only 43 combinations had 5 decades and 4 of them were during the last 4 drawings. Two hundreds and twenty-five of them had 4 decades,so I'm favoring 4.
