They said they were averaging a two number match in 1/3 of the drawings and probably about the same as any group of 28 numbers. And then they went on to say IF they could match four numbers in 1/3 of the drawings, they will eventually win the jackpot. It's about the same as saying IF a group of 28 numbers could average a five number match once in 7 drawings, they could show a small profit by playing a 4800 combo 4if4 wheel and should win a jackpot once in about 350 drawings. I decided to quit

He's talking about a 6/49 game which has better odds of winning the jackpot than MM or PB, but many such games have worst odds for winning the smallest priszes.

The odds of that happening are 1 in 167. And it probably happens a few times a year, which is exactly what the odds would predict. So, to me that would indicate that the lottery is not rigged -- it would certainly not indicate that it is rigged in any way. It is SUPPOSED to happen a few times per year. (According to the odds, it should happen 2-3 times midday and 2-3 times evening every year in Maryland.)
