Powerball in New York
I hope more states enter these two games adding more sales into higher jackpots, but the jackpots are being won fairly soon in PB without going over 200m even with those higher odds. I mean there were just five 2nd prize winners, and one of those had the correct powerball for the jackpot and the roll is done already. I think they need more drawing nights and maybe a third game between multi-state members just to keep more interest.

Why is the Tennessee lottery blaming on the POWERBALL?
Certainly I'd prefer to win $100 million rather than $10 million, but what many people forget is that your odds of winning matter also! For myself, I play Hot Lotto (assuming the jackpot is built up to a reasonable level, say $4 million) rather than PowerBall, even though both are available to me locally. $4 million spread over 25 years will take care of my needs nicely, and my odds are much better of winning the Hot Lotto payoff! Something like 15 times better, the exact number escapes me now.

Pretend one or both of the sitiuations is happening to you
Should I be fortunate to create a program that reduced the odds of winning any lottery and actually won a jackpot, I would be more interested in winning another jackpot than setting up a website to sell it. If a program could really help win a lottery jackpot, you would have to sell a lot of copies before you could make as much as one jackpot is worth, that's the reason no such program will ever be for sale.

Do you Believe Lotteries are Random?
Anytime large amounts of winnings are at stake.....I use to wonder if perhaps the system was fixed and if randomness was just a farse. But since I every so often read of less fortunate people winning via press releases. I figure the only reason I personally have never won s solely due to the insormountable odds in the particular lottery

Should Lotteries Revenue go To Fix Health Care Or Medicare...
Pumpi said: YOu are going to tell me that the cigarettes's tax goes to pay health care Yes this is one way the states are picking up extra cash for children's health care. The Maryland lottery already gets money from the lottery for public health care this is for people that don't have Medicare or other health insurance it is designated to low income family's.. see below Lottery revenues are deposited into the State's General Fund. Over $529 million was contributed to support such servi

Predicting number patterns?
Good day all. Very glad to have discovered this site. I've new to this site. I have attempted to read a lot of the posts to understand how things work, while looking through them for info. I'm afraid that I'm already lost. I keep reading through formulas and discussions that have odds built into them. Why do odds need to be calculated into the formulas? My idea is to analize past draws to find a pattern to the numbers that have already been drawn, then to extend that pattern to futue n

Here is my story
Yes, I only play for the Million and it is a nice change to have the automatic 5x powerplay, though I don't like the new Matrix overall. I usually play one quick pick with power play, and depending on jackpots 1 to 5 quick picks for those $100,000+ games with the 300,000 to 1 odds. I wouldn't ever even want the burden of winning something like 100 million. If I ever did, I'd definitely take the annuity, especially with the world as it is today. Can you imagine winning $200 million, taking the lu

Arizona Lottery's Cash 4 game starts today
i give this game my blessing...doesn't seem so bad compared to a traditional pick 4 ...lets calculate some odds here: matching any 4 out of 26 is 1:14,950..pays $10K.. good...(pick 4 is 1:10000 and pays $5k)..what i also like is the possibilty of winning money with 3 and 2 balls since this is a lotto style....better than having a pick 4 i would say even tho its not that EASY to win as it first appears
