NY Sweet Million(SM) Discussion
$40 for odds of 1:2, betting $20 are real in casinos. Now you are saying that you find it fair to get a tenth of that? Are you nuts? pardon, I dont get the above statement. I dont know about casino odds, which no casino ever states BTW. I know stated odds on lotto forms. SM has $3 for 1:32, yes, it even beats Take5 as you get QP not $. Take5 pays $ on 1:103, which does beat SM's odds of $40 1:456 and $500 is bad;however, MM and PB has worse odds than SM for $500 and $1m.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I don't know what you mean by the house edge only applies to winnings. The house edge applies to the amount wagered. Roulette pays $35 to $1 so the house edge on any winning 35 to 1 bet is 5.26% and the house should win 5.26% of all bets. If player bets and loses $100, the house doesn't charge then an extra $5.26 so the edge is only applied when paying off winning bets. If a roulette table has a volume of $1 million, the house should keep $52,600 and the winners should collect $947,400.

Lotto Strategy - Odds of winning vs Chances of winning
I try not to pay attention to the odds when playing the lottery. Mentally, I try to psych myself into thinking the only odds I have are me against the lottery machine....If I paid attention to the odds, I'd probably never play!

Lotto Strategy - Odds of winning vs Chances of winning
Keep in mind that there have only been 1,048 drawings in the time frame mentioned (1,048 vs the odds s/b 1,032). The point I was trying to bring out here is that the odds of hitting 4 of 6 numbers is 1 : 1,032. Instead of 1,032 drawings, I have 1,048 drawings in which I have 232 Groups that contain 646 drawings of the total of 1,048. To be part of the critiera of the 646 drawings you must match 4 of 6 of the same numbers more than once in the data base of all the drawings. It's like saying inste
